The method in my book for the Akashic Records uses the bubble method you get in the bubble and it carries you up to the library. It worked for my friend but it didn't work for me. I beat him to the library. I guess its a method that works for some but not for others.

Hello everybody, I'm new here. I've been reading this forum on and off today and I have a few questions that I think some of you actually answered them when I was reading through this. I think I have empathy. When I was 19 I was diagnoised with Bipolar and I don't believe I am. Also Since then I started having all these weird senses (I'll explain in a moment) inwhich I would tell my doctors and they were pretty much saying I was crazy. Anyways some of the examples I'm talking about is whenever someone would come to me with a problem, I would staright out say how they're feeling, well I thought I was just helping them, but I'm always right. It's like I can read their minds. Also I have been a waitress for years and most of the time I didn't even need to ask my customers of what they want cause before they told me what they wanted to order, in my mind I would guess it and I was always right. (this is without even seeing what they're looking at on the menu. Plus alot of times I feel that someone touches me, like on my shoulder when I'm driving. or a pat on my back. Also alot of times I can hear someone say my name (don't know who and there's no one around). The past couple of years I've heard more people, men and woman, but I don't know the voice and can't see anybody. When I walk into a place like a bar, restaurant, person's house, I always get a vibe, it's hard to explain, but If I don't feel comfortable like something bad is going to happen, then I leave, later on I heard something bad happend. These sences (empathy?) also work with people like my family. I'll just walk into my mom's house and get this sence of whatever mood she's in and If it's a good sence, then she's in a good mood, vise versa. I've been getting all of these feelings/sences since around 19, they keep getting stronger. Am I crazy or is it empathy? Since I was 19 and started noticing all of this and more I turned into alcohol and drugs to get rid of it, but sometimes that just made it stronger. Can someone help me on this please?

How do you feel about the Zenner test for ESP? I have my doubts on it because I can read people and have the proof for it but when I do the Zenner test , I get a below average score ...huh? :whoa: Maybe it's test anxiety but does anyone have this problem? Although I use to play red or black cards and never fail and the game face red or black card... was pretty good...so idk..what do you guys think?

I don't necessarily think that a card test means anything. I mean its great if you can predict what the cards are going to be, but if you cant that doesnt mean you're not psychic. I've had visions come true, and they were more complex than the cards.

Thank you Ms Flame. I checked out that site a lil last night and just read through people's stories. One girl has almost the same exact thing that I'm going through. I feel very relieved at what I'm going through is ok. I'm 26 now and having all these weird senses since I was 19, and not knowing what it is, was hard!! Ha, I knew I wasn't crazy...lol, but how can I practice more of the senses? Everytime I have a relationship, a couple of days before I will have bad dreams about the relationship ending, then it ends. It doesn't matter if it's a new boyfriend or just a friend in general. Plus when I walk into a room and meet a new person, I either have a good sense or bad about that person. If it's bad, then usually they don't like me or they're not a good person and if it's a good sense then usually I become friends with them, or get along with them. I would like to get into knowing more about empathy and ESP. Someone had mentioned about the book Complete idiots guide to psychics and I will go buy it when I have the money, but are there any other books out there that could help me? Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks all for being kind and reading my posts and I especially appreciate replys, thanks.

My pleasure=)
Hmm I dont know any useful books, but if you happen to find a good Dream Dictionary book (a thick one with lots of interesting information about dreaming in general as well as interpretations) then I think that may help as well. I perfonally find that sometimes the more I understand about my dreams, the more I understand about myself and the world in general.

I'm pretty good at discerning people as well. Subconsciously you are reading their energy vibes, whether you know it or not. I gravitate towards people with the same vibrations as me. I can meet someone though and within a few mintues (even if it's not a direct connection like face to face) and be able to read them well. I don't always listen to my own instincts and I give people chances that I know that I shouldn't, and every time they let me down. I'm not really surprised lol. It is a very good talent to have, so always listen to your instincts.

There's alot of information out on the internet about developing skills, and tutorials and such. Take everything you read with a grain of salt though. Some sites have alterior motives to what they say and/or offer for help. You also have to be careful for psychic vampires out there (if you don't know what a psychic vamp is, I'm not talking gothic folklore. A psy vamp is someone who draws energy from other people to replenish their own). There are people that will prey on your interest in order to draw their own needs from you. I ran into a site not too long ago that was this way.

As for books, I always suggest Brian Weiss. His books have a positive message to them, and a new way to look at things. Plus there are some techniques that he explains that can help.

I posted a book on here a few times that is good at explaining all the ways of being psychic and it has ways to help build yourself to control them.

Thank you very much for posting your experiences and such. That also sounds alot like me. I really want to know more information, inwhich will help me figure out who I truely am. When I go anywhere should I also bring salt with me incase of psychic vamps? Cause sometimes when I go out and when I get that sence of engery that I shouldn't be there, (well most of the time I leave, but sometimes I can't) then should I get salt and put it into my purse? Also If I ever run into a psychic vamp, then what do I do with the salt?

This is great! See on Nov 4th i have surgery on my knee and will be laid up 2-4 weeks, so I'll be on the computer and reading alot! I get paid on the 3rd, so I'm going to go to Barnes and Noble to get some books to read. I will buy "Complete Idiots guide to being psychic" and I hope they have books there on the author Brian Weiss.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to dream about things in the future. I do have them, but that's only when something bad is going to happen. Lately all my dreams have been about my past and things that happend that day. I wanna dream more about my future and don't know how. Is there a way? Also I used to be an alcoholic and addicted to pain killers. I have been clean for 3 months straight now (and am getting treatment) and I keep having dreams that I'm drinking or taking those pills. I can't find anywhere on the internet of what that means. Any suggestions? Thanks everyone for listening to me and giving me feedback! :)

I think those dreams are a way for your psyche to deal with your addictions (btw, congrats on being sober! KEEP IT UP!!!) if you see a therapist, I suggest talking to them about these dreams to make sure you are ok.

Speaking of addictions, many of the psychics that I have run into sometimes have had addictions or diagnosed with some mental disorder or behavior of some sort...any correlation to this? One of my bestfriends who is psychic and has his bachelors in psychology have been talking of a possiblity of this...what do you guys think? Very curious...

well I dont know if what I say will make sense-- but I think that psychic people have like "doors opened" to some parts of the brain, that "normal" people dont, you know. And maybe sometimes those doors are "joined" with the bad stuff such as disorders and etc. make sense? haha

Babyswede - Heres a dream spell that Rose gave me once. I havent tried it yet myself though.

Prophetic Dreams

Need: Blue candles
Jasamine
Mugwort tea (sounds gross but add some sugar or to a fuirt tea its not bad the tea alone can cause dream to be prophetic. CAUTION: do not drink the tea if PREGNANT! for medical reasons.)
Damiana (optional)

Spell: Put the Jasamine on your pillow (you can buy water spray to spray on your pillow or buy sented oil and put a few drops in water in a spray bottle). Brew a cup of the mugwort tea (the tea can't be bought in most grocery stores but most health food or spiritual places will carry it.) For insights of passion or love burn Damiana. Light the blue candle and let it bring you to a trance like state.

Say: Blessed be the lord and lady,
For they created the world,
The earth to hold,
The sun to warm
The moon to guide,
The spirit to dream.

Repeat the above until you feel ready to sleep. Blow out the candles.

Say: So mote it be! (to end the spell)

Babyswede:
When I said "take it with a grain of salt" I didn't mean literally lol. Sorry for the confusion. I just meant, don't readily accept everything you read. In other words, don't be overly trusting.

Salt is used for protection though, yes. Typically people use it in their homes as protection from bad spirits and such. I don't know how widely it's used though. I've thought of doing it myself a few times when I've known that there are negative "others" (my word for "ghosts") around the house, but usually a good clearing does the trick for me so I've never had to and they aren't around that often.

As for protection against psy vamps. Shielding and grounding usually does the trick. I suggest shielding and grounding whenever you partake in any kind of work though. It keeps you safe and protected.

As for learning more and practicing, besides reading, meditation is always a great place to start.

Congrats on being sober btw! :)

Over the summer I've gotten into crystals/gems and healing and such with them. Does anyone else use them? I have a small collection so far. I'd like to hear anyone's experience with working with them and any tips anyone might have.

I know I might be the voice of paranoia  but I feel I should say this from exprience..like others have said, take it with a grain of salt and try to not get to wrapped up in the psychic realm.. remember we are still human and if something is plaguing us emotional, try to find out why BEFORE you make the conlcusion that it has something to do paranormally.. I strongly encourage all psychics to do this frist.. especially empaths. Trust me, it saves you grief. :)

I have a collection of them myself.I guess it depends on how you want to use them. You are suppose to cleanse them with running water let them sit in the sun and charge them by the moon light. I have mainly used them for meditation but if you charge them for healing I suppose it would work the same way. The one that I use to wear around my neck until I gave it to my friend D (he needed it more than me) helped me with my gifts. I suppose I could use it for healing too. Its called the Aura Opal Crystal. It has other names too.

I know that there are some that you aren't supposed to wash because it will damage the crystal. I know that leaving them in a full moon light will also clear them though. I keep meaning to do that but I always forget when there's a full moon. >.<

I think I might have an idea for one, but I'm not sure if its good.

Someone posts a photo or something(maybe a few pics), anything that has something to do with how their day went, and the rest try to channel in and try to figure out what happened??
Not sure, maybe thats too vague for now, but thats what popped in my head.

Hello everyone, this is quite an interesting read!

I have 2 questions for you all, the first being:

When you dream, do you have a 'world' that you are constantly adding to? When I dream, I have the 'normal' dreams that I can trace back to everyday things, but then I have dreams that feel different and that I remember images and feelings for quite a long time after (for an example, my lastest one is under 'a few things' in general dream discussion?) I still remember most of them and they'll quite often just pop into my mind when I'm doing something. Everytime I have one of these dreams, I add on a new part of the 'world' or 'landscape'. For example, there is a train station that I have dreamed about a fair bit and it now has 6 different areas, sometimes even purely because I have approached it from a different angle in the dream but it also has an underground, part of which was a house and, well I'll stop now because I'll go on forever.
So, do any of you have this same experience? I've been trying to find someone that this happens to but have been unsuccessful thus far. It has been suggested that I have been on the astral plane but I have no idea about that and would not be able to tell. I just think that they are dreams but there has to be something behind them if they are all connected?

The second is how do you develop your intuition? I go through stages where I am fairly tuned into what is happening. An example is I got up last week and went to work and was soo edgy and anxious all day for no reason and when I finished work, the closer I got to my house, the more anxious I became and actually broke out into a cold sweat and started shaking, so I kept driving and calmed down completely. The I went home and it all happened again and I walked into the house and there was someone there who I really, really had no desire to see for various reasons that I'm not going to discuss here and that everything in the period of a day had completely changed in a relationship with one of my friends.

So that's my ramble for today, I hope that you are able to give me some sort of insight :)

Hi and welcome.

It does sound like you are traveling to the astral planes. I haven't had dreams where I add or change things but there are some places that I do go to that are the same. I have only one dream that lasted a week where things were changing and building but none lately. So what is going on is possible just remember the saying "When you dream anything is possible!" the mind is very strong and I am sure that we can travel to places and dream of things that we want or want to change. Hopefully that makes some sense or someone can add more.

Your second question is something that we are all working on here by trying to post exerises for all of us to do. The one about the eyes are windows to the soul is one way you can test and develope your intuition. The other exerise that CaramelFlame just posted seemed to be a good one. If you like tarot cards you can try using them and reading your friends and family or just try to see what you get from them by feeling a vibe. There is a book that I posted a few times on here "The Complete idiots guide to being Psychic," also has wonderful exerises. There a a lot of ways so maybe someone else can add on this too.

Someone posts a photo or something(maybe a few pics), anything that has something to do with how their day went, and the rest try to channel in and try to figure out what happened??
Not sure, maybe thats too vague for now, but thats what popped in my head.

Sounds good. Does it has to be a picture of them or a room?

It could be pictures of anything that relates to what happened that day in some way.

Considering things I guess so. To me it looks like the teddy is ready for a nap or to watch a movie. That sounds like a good idea. Too bad I don't have a snuggle buddy.

toki wrote:Hello everyone, this is quite an interesting read!

Thank you, this has given me alot to think about, I'll see if I can get a copy of the book :)

Hi,

I could do with some advice or guidance or just someone to listen! my dreams come true. it started in my teens and the dream and reality were about 3-4 years apart. but the last few years they have been getting closer and closer together, so now they are about 3-4 weeks apart....so at which point will the dream and reality meet?!

i used to just ignore it when i was younger and now after talking to people its not really common for people to dream their future so i am looking for an answer or some way to control it. as it scares me.

The dreams are either still images...which then come to me in deja vu. or they are longer and very vivid and then they happen in real life...image for image, word for word everything is the same! i know because they are usually very intense dreams and leave a lasting memory...i then write them down and then when they happen look back at what i wrote say a few years before and its exact.

For example: when i was 15 i dreamt that i was standing at a cross roads in a red desert, lost, it was pitch black and i was scared i didnt know which way to go. i told my mum the dream at the time because it was so far from reality -when in my life would i be in a desert!?! when i was 18 i went backpacking in australia, i was working at a gold mine and on my first nights work i got lost on the way home....and you guessed it! i was standing at the exact cross roads lost.

Ive been researching freud and dream physcology to get a gripp on it. whats happening? is my sub-conscious trying to predict my future?

your thoughts please? or if this happens to anyone else? do i need to see a dream therapist? im not spritual or religious so ive been trying to suppress this but recently im dreaming very vividly everynight and they are very complex and intense.

thanks
xxx

Hi Penelope12!

Similar stuff has happened to me. Though the intervals between my dreams and reality vary. My first dream that came true, happend a few days after I had it. Some dreams take a few weeks or months to come true. Its been a while since I had any dreams come true "well" in likeness and I'm starting to get a little worried that "Im losing it"

Im not sure what you should do,(if anything should be done at all 0but its good that you're writing your dreams down. Getting a good fat dream dictionary is probably a reasonable suggestion. I know the question always comes up---whats the point of these dreams coming true comes up. But actually its sometimes possible to "direct" your dreams to help you possibly look into something concrete.

Hi!

My experiences aren't really creepy, but slightly strange XD : I can see auras if i concentrate, but it's not easy when no one will stay still!
I've heard music in my head before it comes on.
I've seen a ghost before, while I was in my livingroom, scared the living crap out of me.
They have aggravated me by banging on my dresser, bouncing on my parent's bed (making the springs sqeak, really annoying!), and fussing with the handles on their dresser drawers. Thankfully, it's stopped (except for the bed springs).
I've heard voices in my head, whether it's spirits or thoughts from other people. I don't know, I just know that no one else hears them but me (my parents probably think I have hearing problems whenever this happens >.> ). I can't tell the difference because whenever I ask someone a question out loud, and I'm not looking at them and focusing on something else, I sometimes get a reply. But when I reply to what I heard, the person just looks at me like I'm strange.
I'm clairsentient, doomed to absorbing people's feelings! (sadness and tears, anger, the works... even the related feelings to sickeness! i.e, gagging, that 'I'm getting ready to hurl!' feeling, luckly it doesn't physically happen though...)

So yep, that's my life, the psychic part anyway. I'm still trying to learn more about these things, including dreams as well. ^_^

Does anyone know how many methods there are for recalling them?

I have some of the things happen to me that you said you have. Ive heard people call my name or say something, and then I turn to them and ask them whay they said cause I know they said something. But they look at me and say No I didnt say anything. But of course I say in response, Oh I thought you said something. Sometimes its questions, and alot of times I only does this at random, so I dont know how to make it better or worse.
And I tell you, I have had like three spirits follow me for like ever. I had one turn my light off while I was getting ready for school. And I didnt assume that it was a spirit at first. Not until I unplugged the chord from the socket two or three times and the light didnt come on at all and the blub was brand new, and of course I yelled stop it, and the light came on imediately. We use to have little kids run down the hallway, and I do have younger siblings, but Im talking about when everyone was asleep or trying to go to sleep, we would hear little kids running down the hall. I even had a raspy voice call my name out in my living room where I use to live.
Anyways, welcome :3

I dont really know any, execpt mediating helps the most, and I would say that at certain times in the world is better. I would say like around the moon becoming full, since it does have an affect on the energy of the world. I know I went outside and laid out in the grass for a while, almost 2 hours, just feeling the wind and stuff, and it calmed my body down enough to recall things.

wow it so comforting knowing that other people have these things happen to them to. i thought i was just imagining some of these things. like when i wake up in the morning and i start singing a song only to hear it being played on the radio when i get into the car. i also have had some experience with spirits i've seen them in my room and some times they lock my door in the middle of the night. i sometimes dream of the futrue i just wish there was a way to tell which dream is going to come true and which isnt, because the things i've dreamt that come true i'm sure people have gotten hurt in the incidents. i havent really heard people thoughts but i know what are people are going to say before they say it. but anyway it's just nice to know that i'm not crazy like my dad thinks

I bought that myself for valentines day. The guy that I wanted to date was at the place at the same time I bought it. He was also holding a teddy bear I just didn't realize it was for me. Yeah that day I came home after having a rough day. I wanted to sleep and relax.

The day before yesterday I was just thinking about something and I started to remember. I said something that I would have said back then. When I write sometimes things flow out. Its hard to explain but I have some of it recalled a few moments anyway. Its at ten pages right now. There is one memory that I really want to post but I'm not there yet in my writing.

The only thing that I can think of that helps to tell the difference at least for me the ones that are what I consinder a vision they seem to be more vivid they feel so real that I can't tell that I am dreaming sometimes. Even with places that I go to like another state things are very vivid you might feel pain or you might think you are really crying or like me I really think I am eating an apple. This could be different for everyone.

I too have had bad dreams come true. One time I told my father when we were driving home to slow down. He ignored me. My parents were fighting and we got into a crash. The car rolled into the ditch we got lucky at the location that it rolled just a few more feet it would have been the swamp and we could have drowned to death. I was seeing it before it happened in the car it was scary. I saw us all upside down and me helping everyone getting down and out of the car. I was around 10 when this happened.

I don't know if anyone else knows how they can tell the differance between visions and just dreams but if they would like to share that would be great.
