Into the foggy mist

Postby cannydreams » Mon Dec 28, 2015 8:39 am

Restless and weary, sleep won't come
I crawl from my supposed slumber
Down my top floor stairs
Into a foggy mist
A strange dream like state
Yet I remain awake
While visions carefully partake
In playing games with my senses
I pray for only darkness
So I can hide inside it
Not a back lit fogginess
Where I constantly feel his wet kiss.
" Better never to have met you in my dream than to wake and reach for hands that are not there."

Where once a red heart beat .. a black one rests
Time has definitely done its best ..
Creatures of the dark have taken up nests.

( These are poems off dreams I have - in-case anyone is wondering, since this is a dream forum, I am journaling some dream poems )

I like these, they are menacingly creepy. do you like horror movies or creepy stuff? better than poems about mushy love.

Thank you, Clementine.

I do enjoy a good horror movie, novel, it all really. I also have lots of horror like nightmares too - probably from all the horror tales I view.

Trying to work this one out, off last nights dream but will post it as I have it for now and may revise it later on.

Look who slinks upon my bed sheets
In the dead of night
Sorry, you did not fright.
Trailing blood of a thousand suicides
Behind your sharpened tail
Your mission is a constant fail
I won't give in ..
to your particular brand of sin!

^ in your last poem was he? coming to get you to kill yourself? that would make a good short horror clip.

Yes, was a creature of the night that convinces people who are low, sad, and despondent to take their own lives, their particular shedding of blood feeds it.

If you drew it would be cool for you to add drawings to go with your poems because they are visual poems & that would be cool to do.

That's a good suggestion, wish I could draw, but cannot really but I love your idea, Clementine. TY I don't have any current poems to post, we had a death in our family since last on so writing hasn't been top of my list - but hopefully next month.

I haven't been here for months.

Slowly gasping for air
Without any care
Hoping to slip away...
Never see another day
Pray for quick release...
Please.

That one sounds as if you might be depressed, or lost someone you love.
Makes you feel that way when reading it, cannydreams.

WB though.

Apologies my gaps on this site are huge.

Yes, was actually severely depressed at the time and if being honest at this current time as well. Happy it somehow conveyed my pain or how I was feeling though to others and thank you for reading and commenting back.
