The forest glade

Postby lockheart_006 on Fri Jul 13, 2012 7:04 am

I'm new. :D Moving on.. I just want to share this dream I had. In particular, I think at times that I am a very good dreamer, except for the fact that I seem to haven't mastered the ability to smell in my dreams yet, but I got all the other senses great. I would consider this dream to be an epic one, since I think I dreamt it when I was 14. I'm not sure if this dream was just a part of my sequence of dreams or its just this.

My dream started with me looking at what looked to be glade in the forest, trees and plants all around me, green and so refreshing, with random colors of flowers all around. The forest was so peaceful, not so much a sound as a whisper. I slowly walked towards the glade, my feet making no sound as I softly went closer to the clear water. With each step, the glade looked to be bigger until at the edge of it, it looked to be as big as a lake by then, its waters so crystal clear, the bottom was seen. The wind was passing by slowly, a perfect temperature which had me smiling. I slowly waded into the water, bliss unfolding my spirit, mind and body, never-minding the sudden realization that I was naked the whole time. I paused a bit 'til my long hair was floating about my waist, smiling yet again. I felt the warm water and let it envelop my whole body, diving gently into the deceptively deep body of water. I kept my eyes closed as I swam deeper and deeper, never losing the feelings of warmth, and safety. I opened my eyes, looking at the serenity of the underwater world. Fishes of all colors and sizes swam around me and with me as I take in all the beauty of their habitat. I swam and sat down on a large but flat boulder, taking in the underwater plants, fishes and the colors soothing to the eyes and the mind. I noticed that there was no need for air whilst I was sitting and by then laying on my boulder, just watching and looking at the life all around me. The feeling of tranquility never left me, nor did the warmth and feeling of safety recede as I slowly closed my eyes and just as slowly grew to wakefulness. The feelings felt in the dream made me realize I woke up with a smile on my face, a calm and satisfied soul and a good disposition throughout the day.

I love it.

That's it. I wanted to share and ask what it could mean. And, I just really wanted to share. Thank you. Have a nice night. :D

It looks like this impressive and soothing dream came around the time when you were moving further into your teens (and ultimately beyond) in order to give you an image and atmosphere which would help you to get through any difficult challenges and situations that could arise.

The scene’s emphasis is, of course, on Nature, the instincts, emotions (the flowers and the water), as well as “being your true self” (naked) in order to weather any storms ahead.

You could, for instance, sink back into the memory of this dream to encourage helpful thoughts and intuitions (the fish) to appear when you may need them, along with the central basic feeling that there will always be a safe secure place within yourself to which you can return when you need it.

The dream might apparently be especially emphasizing this inner refuge of the psyche (the lake) in order to show that it can be much richer and more satisfying than other “solutions” to the stresses of everyday life that many in our mostly extroverted society tend to resort to such as obtaining the latest I-Pad etc. etc.

I hope that these ideas will seem to make some sense in your personal circumstances and be helpful in exploring this very moving dream.
