Yet another "dream with ex" post

I've been dreaming about my ex very frequently this past months, one time we had almost the exact same dream the same day. Today I dreamed that i was in a party with my current girlfriend and some friends, it was a fancy party, like a graduation or something like that, then my ex girlfriend appeared things were kind of awkward at frist because I was with my current girlfriend even though for some reason she wasn't sitting on my table, she was in the table in front of me, and my ex was at my table. We talked and she show me a ring she was wearing and told me she wanted me to try it on, so I when I'm about to do it I notice that I'm already wearing a ring, well more like several rings in one finger and in each of them there was a letter of her name, I put her ring on anyways, then my girlfriend turns around and see us while I'm giving my ex ring back. After that the next thing I remember is that everyone is leaving the party, I'm walking towards the exit with my girlfriend with my arm around her, and my ex is standing by my right while I walk by then she grabs my arm and says something like "why are you acting so strange?" i didn't answer and keep walking out with my girlfriend. I didn't know who the party was for but I did saw a lot of friends form my past in there.

If you can help me with the interpretation I will appreciate it a lot. Thanks in advance!

My first thoughts were that you may still feel "engaged" towards your ex-girlfriend. The fact that you guys shared a dream is a sign of a strong bond, although I may be off. It's the most obvious theory but it never hurts to seriously ask yourself if you still have any feelings towards her*. The part where she said your acting strange, I take as it may mean these (possible) feelings are unreciprocated or rather she frankly just doesn't notice.

*Taking evidence from the part where you were already wearing rings that spelled out her name before she even gave you her ring to try on.
