Demonic Attacks?

Postby MetalMelissa on Mon Jun 11, 2012 9:51 am

About a month ago, I remember having this dream that quite frightened me. Lately, I had been going through many questioning things in my life dealing with religion in general. My relationship with God wasn't extremely strong, but then I was saved, just a little bit sooner before I had this dream.
The whole time I was having this dream, I kept trying to wake myself up. It was like a tug of war trying to wake up. Every time I did open my eyes to look around my room, I felt trapped in a glass cage. I was awake, but still asleep. It was really quite frightening. It reminded me of the feeling of astral projecting.
I remember there were many rooms in my dream. There were people in it too, chained to the walls and just looking life drained. They paid no attention to me as I walked around. Suddenly this woman came up to me trying to seduce me! I'm not into other women though, so I tired telling her no. She kept following me any how. So I ran into various rooms to get away from her. I remember everything being to dark and nasty, and me wanting to desperately get away. I ran into this one room that looked like a bedroom. I had horrible feelings about the room, like it belonged to someone really bad. The room looked to be in a really old house. The floors felt weak and breakable as I stood upon them. I felt sick..and almost stuck to the spot. It was like trying to walk through mud to remove myself from the room. I absolutely hated that room! I finally got out, but ended up face to face with the same woman trying to seduce me. This time she held a dildo in her hand offering it to me. I wanted to badly to get out, but there was no where to go. The woman had an evil aura to her. I felt it in her eyes as she shoved the dildo into my hand. Once the dildo was in my hand every "person" that hadn't noticed me before looked right at me. They began to come after me grabbing me and scratching my ankles. I could feel them touching me all over as if I was actually there! I remember the woman that handed me the dildo just stood there smiling at me. The "people" that were grabbing at me were unrecognizable, like black masses swarming. I thought I was going to disappear and I couldn't breathe! But I kept begging God to help me, for my boyfriend to help me. I just kept asking for their help..
I eventually awoke. I was covered in sweat, shaking, and crying. I felt like I was going to vomit and I was breathing fast. I had to call my boyfriend to calm down. I told him what had happened and he told me he thought it could had been a demonic attack. I honestly feel this could be true. I wanted help in understanding about this. Please give me your idea's!!! After so, I've been feeling like these sort of feelings have been getting worst. Sometimes it feels as if I'm levitating when I try to sleep...I know it may sound weird. I just wanted to know if I'm crazy or not, haha. I appreciate advise too!

Are you generally thinking about "bad things" like suicide, murder, lies, violence, abnormal sex or other stuff like that?
It may be your subconscious trying to tell you your ways are not good.
I was a bad person some time ago, always violent and such, until i had a dream about... something, which changed me completely. Main reason why i even made an account on this forum.
Be good. And if you're not, be good at being bad

That's a interesting way to view it. That would make sense, but no sir, I don't typically think about that kind of stuff. When I was younger I went through some negative events, but nothing like that. It seems as if whenever I do notice the "presence" and acknowledge it, that feeling grows darker. Perhaps I'm just paranoid. But lately I've been praying for it to go away and it has helped.

Well, there's a general rule of attraction. What do you think about, gets attracted to you.
This is, perhaps, one of the only true, unwritten rules.
It may be that you're either negative, or you're thinking about this "thing" way too much. You're giving too much attention.
It may be just a down feeling that you give more attention than it deserves.
Do you recall if something happened before you first felt this presence?

I absolutely understand what you mean. Perhaps I just need to stop thinking so much about it.
There has been a lot of negative tension in my family right now. I just had a dream that relates to the tension too.
Many things have happened before I felt this presence though. Not a whole lot of happy things...Many situations that weren't so pleasant, I've been dealing with.
I've just been feeling like I'm the one whose causing all these problems in the family life. I just wanted someone to listen to me, not just try to, but actually listen.
I apologize for my rant.

Do you believe in demonic attacks? Why do you think it would attack you while asleep, because that is when you are most vulnerable to suggestions? The dream clearly has to do with sexuality and how you see that regarding yourself. Maybe the rooms represent different parts of you, repressed parts, hidden parts, stuff you want to keep closed off, behind closed doors, so to speak. Have you looked up all the symbols within your dream and tried to piece it together yet, that could help you.

I believe they are possible. I think they like to attack when I'm scared, upset, and in my dreams, because I am vulnerable.
I've looked up most of it. I think it may have to do with a lot of negative events dealing with sexuality and how I want to get away from it. I think because of this, demonic attacks can happen too. But I could be wrong. It may had just been a really bad dream out of no where, ha.

I'm not here to squash your beliefs, if you believe that demonic attacks are possible there are good reasons for your belief, I will tell you my honest opinion and I do no think it was a demonic attack within your dreams, it was probably only your mind helping you figure out things that concern you, show things to you in a different way, a way that is not possible to you when you are awake. That is why I asked you to look at each dream symbol carefully, that will guide you to all the answers you need. On a personal level and don't ever feel obligated to answer, I am fine if you do not answer this, but do you feel sex before marriage is wrong? Does sex make you feel guilty?

Maybe if you forgive whatever you are regretting that will be enough to stop those kinds of dreams. Maybe the demon is representing the power that regret holds on you. Forgiveness releases that hold.

I completly believe in demonic attacks in your dreams, when I was pregnant with my last child I had a dream that the devil was trying to steal my child and I woke up instantly and I was hemmoraging and had to go to the hospital. When I was on my way to the hospital I could literaly hear the devil telling me that he had me child and won, I believe that I am a child of God and refused to beleive that he won! That enire time from my house to the hospital I kept rebuking him in Jesus's name, long story short I had a very complicated pregnancy and my daughter was born 2 weeks early even with the cord around her neck, it was wrapped 3 times around her neck! She looked liked snow white with her red lips and black hair. I did alot of praying while I was pregnant with her and i asked God why the devil wanted to take her from me and God showed me what he had planned for her life. So in short yes demons can impact your dreams as this is the most vulnerarble time to attack you. You have to be strong and only call on him to pull you out of it! What I do is I pinch my self If after the second pinch I don't wake up I start praying to God to take me out of the dream. Just my experience but it works every single time!!!

Thank you guys for sharing. It makes sense to me to forgive myself, ha. I've been trying to for 4 years, but now it's finally getting easier. And smora, thank you for the advice. When I couldn't wake myself up I prayed for God to wake me up, and it worked. I've been getting some feelings though, as if something is there or watching me. My old house use to be haunted and I had that feeling before. But I've been feeling stronger dealing with these things. My boyfriend unfortunately has been getting dreams and similar events about the devil telling him that he couldn't save me and that I was the devil's. It seems ever since I've found real happiness with my boyfriend the devil has been working hard to pull us apart. One of his dreams consisted of saving me from this dark room, but I couldn't grab his hand in time to escape. He said that the darkness grabbed me and threw me around. He also said that when he went back for me, I wasn't me anymore. We will get through this though.

"too many cooks spoil the broth"...

just joking. I read over all the great comments. Sweetie... your expressing emotions many people can't articulate, as of yet. We live in a society full of "victims stories" (God bless them) and its those exact stories that leave many of us feeling "vulnerable. I not only see your pain but feel it as well. Your not crazy... or disillusioned. Maybe people in your past tried to push themselves on you and YOU didn't like it but just didn't' know "what to do about it". Join the club of sensitive people... but you have to make that observation for yourself.

be well I hope I was able to shed some light on this universal problem :balloons:

Please rread this!

Demons are the workers of the devil, and they get angry with people who are Christians, or have done great things towards God. in your case, a demon probably was attacking. they usually don't have time to attaack people who have just become christians, as there are many. they probobly know something, like that you are going to do great things for God. My father is frequenty attacked for everything he does

Do you think that satan would realize when two christians are becoming closer together? Espeshailly two that are destined to do great things. The obvious answer (I THINK) is Yes and he would probably try to rip the two appart in anyway possible.

Absolutely. Satan's goal is to destroy, whether in obvious or subtle ways, or through the use of vindictive people. Jealousy is a true work of Satan's evil, because if someone has severe jealousy and covets and tries to take away from someone else's wholeness, that person is not centered in the workings of God. That person has the false belief that by breaking someone else down it will make them powerful, and they will always find someone to prey on. I find that this type of person will try and attack someone with pure-hearted intentions because when low spirits are threatened, they will swarm and try and feed off higher energy. Sometimes it will work and the victim will second guess himself and feel thrown. And when that evil manifests, things can get or appear ugly. I often get the fleeting understanding that, by design, that is what the world is and maybe even meant to be created like. There will always be that pull between good and evil, and the people who are here to do God's work (isn't that why God sent Jesus to save mankind?) have to learn how to integrate teachings of faith in order to rise above. No matter what, no person alone has the power to destroy good or evil; a person simply must learn to recognize the difference, which I believe has been etched in the soul.
