Hi,
The question you should ask yourself when you wake up from these dreams is: "why did I need waking up?"
These dreams happen because you need to be woken up for some reason. Maybe you have some breathing difficulties during sleep? However it is more likely that some foods you eat before the sleep give you heartburn or acid reflux and you need to be woken up quickly.
Check how you feel after the dream.

I often feel panicy when i wake up, and i can't get to sleep for a while after. It happens every 6-8 weeks, and lasts about 4 days then that's it again for another 6-8 weeks. I hardly ever have anything to eat before i go to bed, and my boyfriend says that he's not noticed me having breathing problems.

Thank you so much for your help Domswallow

Hey! I had a dream housefire a couple years ago. A guy threatened to burn my boyfriend's house down and then I had this dream:
The man in question was hiding in the closet until I had gotten home. I came into the house and he forced me into the garage. I was stuck there locked in...both the outisde was locked and the inside, just being torched to death like a Salem Witch and it was all because of the Holocaust, like I was to blame for Hitler killing innocent Jews and I'm not Hitler. The guy was so mad about all those people being burned to ashes in Auschwitz and Bergen Beltsen.
I have realized it was a nightmare and forgive the dude now. I think that the thought of all my precious photo albums being torched makes me ill. I shook hands with this Jewish man recently and buried the hatchet with him and have come to see why. I don't hate Jews. I mean, people say mean things and you forgive them. I worry about my boyfriend a lot and he says his friend's a nice man but I think the guy's a hothead that needs counseling. My boyfriend is not a Nazi, nor are my family members.
About your dream, arsonists are really scary people. I understand your fears of fire. Try to check up on your smoke detectors and remain calm. Have a nice day.

Hi, Thanks for your reply. If the dreams return at more or less regular intervals, it is probably to do with your life-cycle - ovulation, if you're a female?

I think Jewish people have a fear of fire, because the Holocaust was a heartless genocide. Hitler killed innocent Jews and burned them to ashes in showers, in order to do ethnic cleansing. Adolf Hitler was a menace and a sociopath. I think Jewish people have the genetic memory of what their ancestors went through. I guess the problem is that some Jews are scared of blondes, because they were oppressed in Nazi Germany so there is a fear of people with German ancestry. There are good and bad blondes of course, and it isn't really the fault of someone what their ancestors did. My family members and boyfriend are law-abiding people that aren't racists or skinheads.
I've met a lot of lovely Jewish people in my life that understand that I'm not a Nazi, a skinhead, a member of the Aryan Nations or the Third Reich. Man, I don't judge people by their religion. Basically, people have a right to study or worship anything they wish on American soil without being threatened or killed. This man that made this threat of burning the house down isn't an arsonist and I've come to see why it happened that he was fearing fire and flames and being burned. We have become friends and I've realized the fear that Jewish people have of arsonists and fires.
I think that there is no difference between a Jew and a non-gentile but the version of the Bible...the former reads the Old Testament and the latter reads the new one. I took a Hebrew law class once and realized a lot of American laws are based upon the Old Testament. My study of the Kabbalah has opened my mind the rich culture of the ancient mysticism of the Tree of Life and the Kabbalah. God bless America and God bless you. I think your dream is a subconscious fear and you will be okay. Have a nice day. :cabbagepatch: :P :)
