I don't know what would be considered old, however she was not an elderly woman who you could have been able to tell that she didn't didn't get the new "fangled" ways. She was a woman in late 50's earl 60's, that appeared to be in touch, as she had an Ipad in her pouch and was wearing a blue tooth ear piece. I wished I could say that this was a rare case but I can't tell you how many times I've seen the same type transaction take place, where the clerk explains that the check will be an electronic check and that all they had to do is provide a check, that they will process it, the shopper will have to sign the electronic box, and the clerk will provide them the check back for their records. BUUUUUUTTTTTT no, I see so many people painstakingly write out the check, sign it, give it to the clerk, sign the electronic box, start writing the check in their check register all while the clerk is trying to give them their processed check back. I understand some people still like to use checks ( I do as well for some things) but things change and the check writing process has changed and some people just refuse to acknowledge it, regardless of their age. But the ones that make me the most frustrated are the ones like this lady that knew what she was doing, she just wanted to do it that way and frankly I think she enjoys the attention of everyone watching her and thinking to herself "these people are really impressed watching write this check and then write down in my checkbook", when in reality people are thinking "you fucking loony bitch!"
