Amusement Park

Postby BizarreDreamer on Tue May 29, 2012 5:43 am

Hi there,

So I've had this type of dream ever since I can remember, and it happens about three or four times a year. In the dream, I am in a famous amusement park in my city, but the layout of the amusement park is never the same, nor is it anything like the amusement park in real life. I'm almost always alone, but when i'm not, i'm almost always with my mother, but she often wanders off and i'm not very hard-pressed to get find her again, because I know she's safe. There are bright lights, twinkly ones, like at a carnival or something, and it's always been nighttime except for one. I am a child in the dream, though I think exactly as I do now, as an adult. I never feel alone, never feel bored, more just... Carefree and adventurous. I will often go on a ride that takes me very high up, and there is almost always a large strip-mall type area in the park, where I explore for a long time. In one of these malls, there was a Lego store where Lego statues of dinosaurs and boats and a working motorcycle were, and another where I ended up shoplifting candy on roller skates.

All in all, I have very strange and randomly put-together dreams. I'm just wondering if maybe anyone could go more in depth to my amusement park, childhood dream, without telling me that I need to have fun in my waking life? I don't feel like the definitions for being a child or being in an amusement park on here apply at all in these dreams. Anyways, thanks for the help!

I think you want to rediscover childlike joy and you're recuperating from some tough times. It's hard to see the light when things aren't going your way. I guess you don't want to hear this, but I tend to thinnk you need to have some fun, going to the museum, the park, or maybe out on the town one night to see a movie. :cabbagepatch:

It could mean that it is time to "branch out" and follow the path of your future more Maybe you don't want to let go of the memories of fun and relaxation (amusement park) and the protection and loving nurturance of family (your mother). The nightime represents the unknown, what you have yet to find and discover and start to "see the light" all of the sparkly and twinkly colors are all of your emotions in this journey and all of your options that lie ahead, it's a balancing of all of your feelings, good and bad. Your mother leaves you meaning maybe it is time for you to leave the next and explore your options (shopping mall) The lego could represent you building your own future, whatever that is, whatever you may want to do. YOU have to build that foundation from scratch and from that a wonderful structure will be created for you to venture out and begin your life independently and with stability. The dinosaur represents your "larger than life" personality and fearlessness that you have within you and the motorcycle is your "drive" and your navigator, being a motorcycle it allows you to have more control and do it more freely, like a "free spirited" person whould choose to move through life as so. I keep getting the thought, "it's time" Is it time for your to start your own journey or take that big next step in what you have already begun?
