drowning baby, white walls

ok so 2 nights ago...

I dreamt I was painting walls the color white with a brush... and at the same time that I was doing that under my feet were fish and clear water... but I was inside a house ... Then when I looked down and stared at the fish I suddenly was among them as if I were in a fishtank... but fishing them out with a net... I really dont understand this dream...

last night...

I was walking down a marina, but there was only one boat, so I got into it. It was almost ready to set sail when I noticed this baby crawling and trying to reach out to the boat that had already started moving so I started running towards him but by the time I got close I just watched in shock as the baby fell into the water and when I tried reaching out to him these 2 huge fish came out of nowhere and brought the baby up... and took him down again... they did this like 3 times and when they finally brought the baby up he was coughing and his face was blue but after a few coughs he was just fine and all laughs .... I just really dont understand these dreams...

My impression from the first dream is that you are trying to portray a 'clean' image/ lifestyle (painting/ whitewashing) and you feel closely watched (the fish tank). Netting the fish may be a desire to get out from under the close examination and/ or to have something to show for your efforts.

The boat suggests some sort of a journey or endeavor and the baby implies your feeling of success along the way ('your baby' or a goal/ project). The fish seem to reflect some uncertainty about success- taking the baby under and up again (your ups and downs). Your outlook seems quite good- third time is the charm and the baby comes up healthy and happy.

I had a similar dream in which I put a baby into a fish tank and it turned into a fish. I talked with my therapist about it and he suggested it could have been a desire in the unconsious to return to the safety of the womb. Water often reflects that perfect pre-birth place before we entered this cold, hard world. Fish are also visually similar to sperm, may reflect creativity and renewal. I suspect you might have been going through a hard time and are looking for a place of rest.
