Im ok, I have been working a lot as well. I had a breakthrough with one of my clients..so thats good. Got my computer working a little, so hopefully I can post more often. Thats about it. Oh yeah, my grandaughter turned 1last week.

Altogether... I've been trying to create a job for myself, with artwork.
It's been hard to convince people in my town of my ability.
I have a few who believe me though, because I've been really pushing this passion of mine
by ad, athough I still have a lot of doubters who have not seen my showcasing.
That have only heard of me.
Economy is crap, what I can draw for 10 dollars, people will buy somewhere else for 50 dollars and up.
(AS if what I do would break their bank.)

I know I have to start small, but I sometimes wonder if
I increased the price if they would take me more seriously.
I did consider college, but we only draw 800 a month, most goes to bills, and college promises knowlege, but not a stable job. >.<

So that's the boat that sunk pretty much.

The other hand... Been trying to take it easy from the stress of all that,
and started a hobby making kachina dolls.
Here lately I feel drawn towards a lot of the south/western decor.
My pets have been doing awesome, chopper our pekingese is learning to say I love you.
It's the cutest thing.
Our cat sausha has been fiesty trying to snag food out of my hand, all week.

Hi again. Have you tried to apply for a pell grant? You should go to a local college and let them help you apply for all those grants and financial aid. Then you would have a better idea of if you could swing it or not. Also, you could get a small living allowance through the school while you are attending. You would need to be a full time student. That is what...20 or 25 hours a week. Most of the kids I know use it to buy their books and to help with gas or bus tokens. A little for food. Anyway, I wish you the best in whatever you decide.
As for me, I work with senior citizens and physically disabled adults.

It's okay, I got fucked over for financial aid too. Can't go to any of the colleges I wanted to go to because the debt would be from 80k to 120k and I can't handle that with the pay I'd be getting with the degree I'd receive from the college. I had a lot of awards and notability when it comes to being a young writer but that didn't get me anywhere in terms of scholarships, mostly because I'm not going to college for writing. Either you take out loans and bite your tongue or go to a community college and then transfer even though the education you'll receive at the community college will be shit and the transfer will be difficult. I'm taking the latter route sadly. The colleges in our country are overpriced for many reasons and they're often things that barely contribute to the college education experience. Whatever you decide to do, try to make the right connections with the right people. That's how you get somewhere in life.

I have nominated this ^ the best damn advice I've heard this year.

@ KRSTYSTLCLR, Out of the 800 we get a month. we only get to keep about fourty after the bills are paid.
The rest that keeps us up is free clothing stores, coupons and foods stamps.
You had good adive on the pell grant, but sadly the uptight morons in my town don't uphold any form of grant.
And most of their students are from the richer parts of Asia, Africa, foreign countries.

Update: I just invented a job for myself I sold my first pencil artwork pictures to a guy for his wife on mothers day.
I had to do 4 of the same picture.
It was a tad bit hard, but I had them all exact.
I got 40 out of it, so far so good. ^.^
I just hope I progress with this and keep following the dream.
