people stare at me :(

I hate when people just stare at me.
I think, is there something wrong with me?, it gets really annoying.
And its mainly men that stare at me which is a bit intimidating as usually they are much older then me!!!
like on the train yesterday i was sitting down, it was really busy and this guy on the opposite seat just all of a sudden stared at me, it was really freaky, all i remember is his bright wide blue eyes. and it did scare me a bit actually. thank god he got off the train at the next stop.
arghhhh just had to get that off my chest!!!

Just ignore them. People are going to look at you. So let them. Are they worth your time? If not then occupy it with something else. ...or you could mess with their brain a bit depending on how old you are. Don't let them get to you. Think of it this way...You are worth looking at

To add to what blue wrote, try not to let it bother you. If you are always worried people are staring at you then your body will react and you will look suspicious like your up to something you shouldn't be, which is just going to make people stare at you more. Just carry yourself with confidence!! Now depending on where you live and the people that you live around, but where I live, if someone is staring at me, and I know, I make eye contact with that person and smile and give a little head nod in there direction (a hey nod, not a flirty head nod lol) if they were staring they will get uncomfortable/ embarrassed and look away. If they just happened to look at you at the same time you looked at them they normally just smile and nob back... Again this goes hand in hand with having confidence!!! I like the way blue put it...

Just enjoy your life and never let someone else's opinion of you effect you, because the only opinion that matters is yours, and if your not comfortable with yourself then you wont be happy!!!

But on the flip-side because I been on the other end of that where ppl think I am staring and I really wasnt. I get deep in thought a lot and my eyes just fix on something (close to a person) or someone (or something on them), I dont even realize it until someone says something to me or my concentration is broken (sometimes I can snap out of it when others stared back because I guess I get a feeling of someone staring at me and come into focus/reality and realize I am staring), I usually will just laugh and ask them if I was staring and say sorry I was just in deep thought about something and we all just have a laugh and usually start talking. So, if they seem to have a blank look on their face (motionless) they might just be deep in thought (might something heavy on their mind and not really paying attention to you at all), in that case just wave in front of them or say something (hello how are you today) and they usually will snap out of it. There have been a number of times when I am staring pass someone (or at something around them) and they think I am staring at them. They will say please stop staring at me and I will tell them I'm not I was staring out the window or down the hall at something else etc. I guess it may look like I am staring at them if they are in the frame of the direction I am staring at, that happens to me all the time. I used to blame it on my eyes, I have really dark brown eyes and I figure ppl must not always been able to see what I am actually looking at. But heard other ppl who dont have dark eyes say the same thing.

I used to take the bus/train a lot and ppl always stared on those things, but a lot of it was they were drunk or drug out and probably again not really staring but just out of it. then there is ppl like me, just woke up and going to work/school or coming home and is tired and got lost in thought. So, remember that too. Maybe that will help so you wont get so creep out.

I would suggest avoiding Paris if you hate people staring.
I'm used to it now but still feel ikky with the perverts here.

what kind of stare? mentally-disturbed people often use trains/buses. they're either innocently curious, fantasizing about you, or want to murder you.

exactly. from not having a car, traveling to different places alone, and getting lost in the wrong neighborhoods, i can tell you there is definitely such thing as street etiquette.

it sounds like those men staring at you found you attractive that is why they were staring at you, I don't know if your an attractive woman but if you know you are then it's pretty probable that they were staring at you. next time it happens I would just politely or nicely say, excuse me, are you staring at me. If they say yes then tell them politely to stop, If they say no then apologize to them and go back to your business. That should end the problem.
