Giant owl

Postby Piezerchief on Mon Mar 19, 2012 4:35 am

A couple months ago I had a dream where it's night time I'm in my bed but my
Bed is out side facing a cliff edge and it's night time I'm just lying there then out
of no where This giant white owl swoops down and clutches me by the shoulders and flys
off into the moonlight horizon with me Its wierd because it's not from my point of view
(not through ny eyes ) nor the owls What does this mean ?

Hi :)

I'm not good at interpreting dreams. But, from what I've read on here, it might be that you feel you are passively watching someone take away your virture and insight. You feel helpless against it. Is there someone in your life right now that is making you feel belittled?

An owl means a thief person.
The ups and downs of the life .It will happen from a few days to a few months later.Dreams sometimes have happened a few years later. Please update when something like that happened.

Owls represent wisdom - are you at your "wits end" of a situation and feel as though you are ready to take that jump (not literally) and give up? The owl is you taking you away to the moon the you can oversee a situation in it's entirety. They have very strong instincts and act swiftly with skill and grace, they are creatures of night therefore can see through the darkness as you may need to do in a situation. In otherwords get information that is being hidden from you or that you are being excluded from of deceived. This is a survival mode message and is also your strength, do not give up. Move to a higher boundary so that you can see the entire situation before acting on it! When you do, do it with accuracy as an owl would and there will be no room for error.

The owl is known for its sagacity. Birds, especially when they are white, often symbolize something spiritual. Maybe it represents knowledge about the nighttime world, the unconscious. He flies with you toward that nighttime light, the moon, which could mean that the owl wants you to enlighten your mind about his world, the unconscious. Maybe you should catch up on your reading, why not M-L von Franz, for example. The owl would probably appreciate that. The owl thirsts for book knowledge.

Investigating the dream context implies that one tries to understand where the dream motif derives from. This could provide a clue. On Rush's early album "Fly By Night" there's a white owl:
