December!!! Reason one, its the month of my birthday!! Reason two, its Christmas!! Reason three, I always get to see family I haven't seen in forever!! Reason four, the snow!!!

When was the last time someone made you really mad?

March. I dunno why really, but it's the first time i actually finished any long story i wrote, despite it being a fanfic and my origional intentions for it being smashed. (Thank goodness they were smashed too, because what i actually wrote turned out much better.)
I'm also fond of it because the weather ususally starts getting nice.

Same Q what's yer favorite month.

My favorite month is Probably June. Cuz I love summer and being able to run around outside :) But I also don't like June cuz it seems kind of like a plain month. There's nothing too exciting and mystic sounding like other months do. lol

My question,

If you were put in a spot where you could, but had to choose between being blind, deaf, or mute; which would you choose? (And why?)

No someone made a mistake. It was supposed to be for OM's thread.

I would choose being mute.Since I wouldn't need to talk anymore and it might put me at peace. I know it would be complicated still but I would rather be mute and have my gift to listen to music and sight.

Being a poor kid growing up we couldn't afford vacations instead we went on camping trips as a family. The most memorable would be a camping trip we had and it ended up raining the entire time but instead of packing up and leaving my dad and uncle strung up huge tarps that covered most of the area we still enjoyed ourselves in spite of the rain it was nice.

Re: Question of the Day

Postby operatormike on Mon Mar 05, 2012 7:52 am

I have always loved the stars and even studied the constellations. Once when i was around 10 years old, we went to his Grandpa's farm in New Castle, Pennsylvania. I had always lived in Youngstown, Ohio. When we went outside at night on a clear summer night, I saw the misty Milky Way 'behind' the stars for the first time in my life. I was awestruck. The stars were so beautiful.

Same question.

P.S. to Tsetse regarding:

The most beautiful place I have been is at the camp that i work at, on our canoeing outpost. We stay out overnight after canoeing to a campsite off of the main camp in the woods and at night there are fireflies EVERYWHERE around you. It's absolutely gorgeous :) And then if you look up there are just millions of stars and the entire thing is just breath taking!I can't wait to go back this summer ^-^

Unless i can procreate through mitosis, i'm killing myself.
How lonely an existance that would be, no birdsong to listen to, nor brightly colored fish to watch dart through the waters. No friends to be made or mates to find. The only sounds left the inane meaningless hum of abandoned machenery... Even if i only ate plants, how long would it take for the soil to become dust and the trees to all die, without the help of other creatures. It's not something one can imagine easily.

Favorite sea animal, besides fish and dolphins.

The N word. (For those who don't get the reference, it is Latin for black.) It has been used for so much hatred for so many years. Any word that allows us to think of other human beings as less than human should be stricken from our vocabulary. We have to end the pandemic of hate.

A word that you love?

My favorite book and why...

Right now it's The Guardians of Ga'Hoole. The first three in particular. The movie, of course, turned them into mush for six year olds, while the books are actually not suitable for anyone under twelve. (At least in my opinion. They get very violent at points.)
(Even though my avatar is a Barn Owl (Tyto Alba) the only reason for it is that I couldn't find a Sooty Owl (Tyto Tenebricosa) that fit. Putting that sentance into context if you didn't know: The books are about owls. Most of my knowledge of owls came prior to reading the books, however.)

Why do you have the avatar you have?

Re: Question of the Day

Postby CharlieRose on Thu Mar 08, 2012 7:13 pm

I mostly just write until the characters won't shut up and my own problems are mostly repressed. Which isn't really helpful because my characters problems are just taken from my own life unconsciously. Then once i realize that i've done that i analize myself and firgure out where exactly my problems are manifesting themselves, tell myself that i should really see someone about these issues, and then i eat candy and watch my favorite movies via stereotype.

Here's a character i have: He connects to people on a level that when they are harmed he can feel it. When he was two i murdered his parents and then when he was seven i had the orpanage he lived in burn down with everyone he knew trapped inside to burn to death. He lived in the woods until he was eleven and then stowed away on an airplane to start his illeagle life of adventure as far away from his place of birth as possible. He's also got people currently trying to kill him because of the parents he never knew. (He's currenly 19) Because of how painful all of his experieriences with other people have been due to his ability, he naturally ostricizes himself and refuses to socalize with other people outside of brief contact. He does have a few friends, reluctantly and mostly because he couldn't get rid of them. He's let his guard down enough in the story i'm working on that he knows he's going to get hurt. Oh, and this ability can kill him if he connects to too many people at once because he's essentially tying pieces of his soul to them. So every time someone he loves dies so does a piece of his soul. So the entire reason for every ounce of pain in his life is so that he doesn't die prematurely. He's not a main character (at least not in the story i made him up for.) You get to see all of the crap i do to them first hand and then i usually make it so that their life is hell even after the story is over. Now i could go over all of the emotional reflections that are magnified to pathetic levels in this character, but i think i'll just leave it alone.

Uhm...
Sheesh i like to just rant on and on. Whatever. Answer the above question. And by above i mean the post above mine because i'm certain this topic has already gone by bye...
