i dreamt that i was at my sister's place, and we were supposed to go to some meeting someplace [wish i could remember more], and we got in the car and pulled out into traffic which was at a standstill, then our cars disappeared and we all in the traffic jam became pedestrians. the road transformed into a concrete cattle chute with 5 foot high walls, and we were all just standing there as though queued for some interminable turnstile gate, with a forward movement about every minute or so. then the line turned into two across, and we inched forward a bit faster. out of nowhere i saw a kid all by himself, just standing there with a confused look on his face, so i motioned for him to get in ahead of me, which he wordlessly did. suddenly everybody in front of me disappeared, and it was just me at the head of the line. everybody behind me looked at me as if to say "what the hell are you waiting for?!" so i ran ahead but they stayed behind for some mysterious reason. i made it around the bend and saw that the cattle chute became a bridge over a big sea of some kind. in the distance i saw a big ship, like an ocean liner, and i ran up to the gangplank of this ship. when i got there, there was a fella in a canadian forces uniform, a sergeant, and he was messing with the little kid that i let in line ahead of me, and he was ordering the kid to do as he was told but the kid refused, so the army guy said loudly, "i will just shoot you then, how do you like them apples, ya little punk?!" and he whipped out a pistol-style taser gun and shot the kid with both projectile shockers, and shocked the kid to death. then he picked up the kid and tossed him over the side of the cattle chute, only he forgot to disengage the electrodes from his taser gun, and the tide was pulling the kid out to sea and dragging the murdering army guy over the side of the cattle chute before the wires snapped. the army guy wiped flop sweat off his brow and glared at the other people as if to say "ya want some of me?" then somebody in the crowd screamed "GET HIM!!!" and the crowd rushed the guy and in a wave picked him up and tossed him over the side, while the guy was screaming, "I CAN'T SWIM!!!" somebody in the crowd sneered back at him, "well then, you'll just drown just like your victim, won't you! how d'ya like them apples?" i noticed that there was a distant line of people going around a corner up ahead so i rushed to meet them, only they disappeared too quickly for me to catch up. when i went around another bend, there were two ramps, one leading upstairs to a high ramp, and the other leading downstairs to another cattle chute. somehow i knew that i had to take the low road, where i encountered the rest of the group. i asked somebody, "what woulda happened to me if i took the high ramp onto the upper deck of the ship?" and somebody told me "you woulda eventually ended up back where you started from." then i awoke. i sure wish i knew where we were all heading!

Sounds like an end of the world dream, in which one "bit the apple" and had to cross over, but the wrong guy was watching this side of the bridge.

i guess i was sorta hoping in the dream, that i was headed for heaven.

Yeah, it does! As soon as you throw that one military man that is bottle necking up the bridge and making everyone pay a toll to his demands, as he owns the gun. (you know how this meat market works.. Cross the bridge and eat the grass on the other side)

Dreams are something that many ponder over, but as a builder I like to build... Well- My dad helped designed and build bridges for the State of Calif.- my point- I seen enough blue prints to get the milk / honey and meet to the table and cut out the Bull $

To me the dream smacks of you sensing you are herded through life, making honorable choices and being gracious along the way.

The cruise ship was the desired destination but had an impeding presence who was the total opposite of you. (Canadian Soldier)

As a gate keeper he is your impression of rules/standards/ and fairness... which isn't so fair.(Until he gets what's coming to him)


You and the others in the 'herd' had about the same outlook. Slow going, keep it moving, and normal "line' stuff.

The change to a BRIDGE is a point along the way where you can see a transistion/change of scenary.

I would classify this as a work dream more so than an end of the world dream. But not necessarily career work. It reflected

your emotions (and patience) in moving forward slowly along with everyone else through life or recent times in real life. It may

also be derived from recent consideration of something long-term like term-life insurance or retirement planning for example.

i was under the impression the canadian forces were a more civilized group than the somewhat brutal american army i'm more familiar with. i don't get why my dream didn't feature a more typically authoritarian american GI.
