Jesus and the WheelChair

Postby ConstantInsomniacF on Tue Oct 21, 2008 1:34 pm

I had this dream about 2 years ago during a very low point in my life where I had severe depression and was involved in an unhealthy relationship. I was 21 at the time and lived on campus.

I dreamed I was in a very beautiful Victorian style mansion. The dream seemed to be set in the 1800's. There were lots of people at the house and i was hosting a dinner party. Guests were arriving. I went towards this window and opened it. When I did i heard someone yell 'Jesus is comming!" I looked out the window and it was pitch dark. I noticed a figure walking in the dark towards the house, I couldnt make out a face or anything but I could see the person was wearing a white robe. I turn around and face the dinner table and the guests were having a good time chatting away and laughing. i scan the room and there He was. Jesus was sitting at the table, not taking any notice of the guests at the table. He was sitting in a wheelchair, He looked so worn out and defeated and sad. I sensed He wasnt feeling this about himself but rather directing these feelings towards me, for me. In the dream i felt sad and disapointed in myself for making Jesus feel this way.

Im not a Christian, and im not religious, though i do believe in God. I really dont know what to make of this dream, and whether or not it was trying to tell me something. Strangely enough, i woke up from it feeling calm, like I let something go.

Brilliant dream. Thanks for sharing it with us. It means very clearly that Jesus can identify and share with your pain and he knows it (the depression etc) is a handicap to you. Just knowing that someone like Jesus understands us and our situation can be releasing. Of course the significance of a visit like that from Jesus himself in your life should not be underestimated.

This sounds like a healing dream. I admire people like you, who can relate to Jesus Christ in dreams. I have been a Christian for so long, but He never appeared in my dreams... Consider yourself lucky and thanks for sharing lol~ :halo:
