Repetitive dreams

Ok. So there's this guy whom I've been dealing with since the end of July. He had a girlfriend at the time, but they were going through because she cheated. Well they broke up in January and I thought that him and I would be together. The things he & I would talk about lead me to believe so. So on yesterday I finally told him that I wanted to be with him. His response was, "he wanted our friendship to continue & grow, and as far as us being together that I already know where his heart is right now!" So I slept all day yesterday up til this morning, getting up 3times. Each time I awoke I had a dream about him. What's weird is they were all dreams of him being with another girl and I was hurt b/c it wasn't me. He says he could see himself with me but his heart is elsewhere. So is my dream pretty much telling me to get over it he's with someone else??
