There aren't many of life's simple pleasures that I overlook. I tend to live for those moments. Some of my favorites though are during the winter,standing at a window late at night while the rest of the house sleeps, watching a fresh layer of snow falling on top of an already existing layer underneath a full moon. It's such a peaceful sight. Sitting in front of a fireplace listening to it pop and crackle while waves of heat radiate off of it, preferably while listening to acoustical versions of Christmas songs being played softly on the stereo. I love the open and honest reaction of someone who genuinely misses you when they are suprised by your appearance. I love the smell of expended gunpower and the way the sound of the shot rolls into the distance. I love the smell of gun oil. I love watching babies sleep.
