Nightmares from my childhood

Postby DezzH on Thu Jan 12, 2012 5:14 am

When I was little, I had nightmares a lot. Finally, when I was six, I started listening to Enya just before I fell asleep and the nightmares went away, or at least I stopped remembering them. A couple days ago, I stopped listening to Enya and started listening to music more on the metal side. The night before last, I had a nightmare that I had had many, many times as a child, but with different locations every time. This time, I was on some kind of beach. I was standing on a dock with a fishing rod, and a few feet away was a man that had featured in this nightmare every time. He was a bigger man, tall, and wore what they used to wear back in the day (A vertically striped vest, white dress shirt, khakis, sneakers, whatever. Oh! And that stupid little hat!). He was sitting in a boat a few meters away from the dock, and to the left a little. A few seconds after the dream started, I dropped my fishing rod, turned around, and ran off the dock. After the dock was a little strip of sand, then stairs going up a hill. I ran up the stairs and turned right, going up yet another set of stairs. These stairs were cluttered with other pieces of wood, and one stood straight up and across the last step. I clambered over it and turned around to see the man bounding up the steps. Somehow I managed to change the dream, and he was back at the first set of stairs, going slower this time. I turned back and ran, down another set of steps, and into a small, fenced-in area. On the other side was a man and his little boy coming back from what I knew was a beach, though I didn't see it. I yelled at them to wait, and they went through a gate. I asked for help, and the man told me to get in the car. I followed them and got to them, just as the man from before got there. He tried to attack the man with the boy, but I stomped on him and got in the car with the other people and drove away. That was the first time I'd ever gotten far enough into the dream to get away. (Sorry it's so long!)
Dream 2: I'm at my grandma's, and there's a story of a girl who died and comes back to haunt and kill people that is told. Soon, I begin to see a creepy girl with long black hair and pale skin with dark bags under her eyes. She tends to hover over people who she's going to kill/are going to die. Though no one dies in the dream, you get the gist. She just kind of lays on the cieling over doors that people are going to enter from. It's scarier than it sounds, but writing my first dream, I forgot most of the details of the second. And somehow, I get the feeling the death-girl (that's what I called her when I was little) is in my closet in my room. Every time I face away from my room, I get this feeling on my back and I just know she's there. I can't bring myself to go back in my room. Help me?

I have never seen her, though she did look quite a bit like the grudge. I've only seen a couple parts from the second movie, but I hadn't seen her when I first had the nightmare.
