Messiah--I think a character flaw you might work on is egotism. I just think you are kind of cocky and confident, but that you can be a bit arrogant. Please don't take offense, because I have my own quirks, like I'm irresponsible or childish at times. We all have good and bad qualities. I didn't want to bring it up, because I didn't want to hurt your feelings. But, you asked me to point out a negative quality to you and I'm calling a spade a spade as I see it. You choose the username messiah because you think of yourself as a martyr or a victim who is being suppressed because you are a charismatic leader. I think you may have a very high self-esteem to see yourself in such a light, not that it's a bad thing to love yourself. People that have high self-confidence achieve more than insecure people because they are willing to take chances and believe in themselves. It isn't all bad to be a bit conceited...overly confident people get more what they want out of life, because they think they can and in believing in their own selves, they become successful. You may not be rich now, but you'll probably do well or at least keep your head above water financially. Try to use cunning and balance your checkbook and save money and not get sucked into always or never thinking. You seem like a person that is a bit overly concerned with people's opinions of you and you ought to just accept and love yourself and not worry about it. Messiah--I'm no perfect saint either, so oh well, like you said you live and learn and life goes on. If I hate someone, I walk a mile in their shoes before I judge them. There are two sides to a coin...if I'm getting too intensely angry, I go ride my bike or get exercise. I just don't believe in violence or guns period...I solve problems with communication. You aren't a bad person or an angel, just a human being, like I am.
Maybe Mother Teresa was very kind, but most people have their moments and make mistakes. We all bleed and suffer at times and that is when we need a helping hand and that's why I give free readings wherever I go because I don't need that kind of bad karma and it makes me feel good to assist others. I figure I've wracked up some bad karma points from the past, so this is my way of evening out my karma and being a good person.
There are very few people on this Earth that can act the part of the victim over and over and not crack up. Some people REALLY are victims and they can be blamed and it's awful!! Sure, I was in an abusive relationship ten years ago, but I played a part in that situation. I blame myself partly and I also see that that man wasn't worthy of the love I can share. I have a boyfriend/male friend that treats me alright now, so I just try and see the cup as half full and be optimistic and think happy thoughts and try not to live in a gloom and doom self-fulfilling prophecy lifestyle.
You just rise above whatever hardships you've endured and survive and go on. In this economy, so many are starving and it's hard to just continue without the help of friends and family to hold you up and get you through the Hell. If I was judgmental of you and any other, I would have to look in the mirror and see that some of what I see in you is what is in me. I went through a time where I was stuck up but thank God I got over that and just don't go around with my nose in the air anymore.
I guess if people think you're rich or powerful, they will stoke your ego and tell you you are something special, but when you've hit rock bottom your true friends will be there for you. So what? Who the Heck wants to hang around with phonies???
Your real friends will reveal themselves in times of crisis and the rest will be gone and they are just acquaintances, so who cares??? I think you will emerge from all of this a stronger, happier person...I just sense you are in the cocoon right now that you are going to become a butterfly soon and spread your wings and spread your joy and magic to everyone you meet. You can take a hard, cold look in the mirror and hate yourself, but you are better off forgiving yourself and others. Your post definitely left a smile on my face. I always thought i was a lil better than a person next to me or whoever else came my way, the only reason and i realized some time ago is that i was full of hatred and i hated certain things people would do, not realizing i was doing them myself. It was like looking in the mirror but only seeing the reflection or the symptom but not understanding that the root you in the end. I honestly can say i have been much humbled in past few years nowadays if i get stressed with something or annoyed or angry or for some reason i dislike a person, first question i ask myself is why am i angry? If i come to conclusion that there was nothing to be angry about i flood my thoughts with 10 positive things to eliminate this feeling and just keep going. Sometimes its not enough to think a thought or two, sometimes we underestimate the resilience of negative thought so more effort has to be put into it. Another great and most important thing is that i have learned to center myself in my heart, its the only place full of positivity and optimism ambition, heart controls the brain anyway. The Seven of Swords may be referring to something within my family dynamics, that has been persisting for several long months. I was resigned to it remaining as it was and has been. I almost never avoid direct confrontation, I usually charge head first into it. Not the first time recently that I have been told, this is not the way, you are correct in saying so to me.

With The Page of Cups-- I just ended a relationship recently, felt it was the best for both parties at the time. I feel sad about this, but still agree my decision was right. When you say "future" husband-- how much in the future do you see him? My ex was very patient, not as docile So those traits could be for me as well? I like pretty eyes in a partner, especially when they look at you lovingly. You are correct about this as well, it is important to me. I have not had a lot of boyfriends to date, only a few to this point in time, so you are saying I will date much more before I find my one? Because I am looking for my one-- or other reasons? My parents instilled a lot of values into myself and my siblings, I do prefer like minded partners. I do realize everyone hurts and has their own issues and sorrows-- I do not actively seek to hurt others, but will not overt my eyes if others attempt to abuse, I attack the actions probably much more than I attack the person doing them, imo. I had a friend sleep over back in late August and one of our stops was Barnes and Noble. I ended up buying this book on fairy tales and their psychological impact on children. This inspired me to adapt a fairy tale into a modern play. I started on it right away and now I'm almost done with it; I just have a few trouble spots and an epilogue I need to add on. I've written plays before that were left unfinished. There was even this one time when I finished a play just to have my computer crash. But I have really good feelings about this play. I even think it could be published and performed someday. Do you think you could please give me a quick reading on my creative progress with the play? Maybe see if any of my hunches are right?

I think it's too early for a publisher right now. Once I get the rough copy done, it's gonna be all about perfecting it first. I'm gonna mail it to a couple of friends and a couple of Theatre professor's at my college for proofreading and feedback - maybe a couple of English teachers too. I'm actually hoping one of my professors might be able to give me some names of publishers. If not, my uncle has lots of connections; one of them might know a publisher. I'll probably mail a copy to my uncle too, just in case.

As for the plot, I decided to adapt Little Red Ridinghood. It's about a girl from a poor neighborhood whose grandmother's been diagnosed with terminal cancer. The grandma is weak and can't do many things for herself, so Little Red starts taking care of her after school. The grandmother lives a town over, so Little Red takes the T to get to her. To keep herself sane, Little Red takes a portable radio with her. A few days into school, Little Red starts hearing reports about a serial killer who stalks his victims at night. Each victim is found with body parts missing. Around this time, Little Red starts seeing a homeless musician at the T. She is initially weary of him, but he seems to be the only person that sincerely wants to listen to Little Red's problems and so they form a friendship.

JeremyM--I did an Ouroboros Spread for you, which is named after the tail-eating World Serpent, which is a circular spread of seven cards.
Card 1-The distant past-The Star--Like that of the Magi over Bethlehem, the great Star is the portent of a new beginning. The change will take time to manifest, but this new optimistic card signals the return of hope after a period of trial and tribulation. The dragon pouring the Water of Life into the lake and onto the land is Truth, whose blinding clarity lights the path from trouble to peace. Like the return of spring after winter, the Star signals rebirth in any or all aspects of life, and the relaxing of restraints. After an illness, the Star card indicates the return of health. After a period of frustration, it promises the return of joy and the blossoming of new partnerships. This is a good time to begin a new venture and also to travel.
Card 2-The recent past-Page of Wands (reversed)--Bad news or the callowness and treachery of youth that fails to see projects through to an end, or twists information into mischief-making gossip.
Card 3-Immediate influences-9 of Pentacles--You are likely to receive substantial rewards for your accomplishments and you will be able to afford to relax and enjoy your more contemplative inclinations. My family has been there for me, so has many close friends. My previous relationship was hell and the fall out affected all around me negatively.

My fiancee and I have a New years trip planned for overseas.
