How do I do it?

Postby sassy3 on Tue Sep 06, 2011 1:28 pm

I've only had one experience were I questioned if I was dreaming. That's because it felt so real, I could actually feel the wind blowing my hair back. I've never heard of dream guides or anything like that, but it seems interesting. Is there anyway to get myself to ask "am I dreaming?" while asleep? and What would I do after? This sounds so cool. Any tips?

Some people find it easier than others. For example, I often know when I'm dreaming. My dreams are harebrained, though, and that's probably why LOL. There are usually tell-tale signs that you are dreaming, and these are comman and you'll notice them quick when you pay attention. For example, something may look out of place, distorted or just slightly 'wrong' (ie, being naked in public, being lost in familiar places, mechanics not working as usual if you're attempting to flee from something, ECT....) You'll need to perform a reality check, so look at what you know best; yourself. Check your hands, feet, legs and arms are the same size, colour and shape, and try to find a mirror. Your reflection will often be slightly different or distorted. Test your abilities, your strength, your agility. What I like doing is trying to find something to read, and often it'll be normal the first time but when you look back, the text will be different. In your waking hours, also, performing acts like this will increase your chances of lucid dreaming. I examine my hands a lot to improve the chances, because you can do it anywhere and not look odd :D Once you've figured it out, from there it's quite simple. It may take a few times, but just stretch what you can and can't do in your daily life. I'm not very experienced, and mostly just maruader about in my dreams, but when I need to I can run impossibly fast and jump incredible heights and distances. More recently, I dreamt I was on a bus that got hijacked, and when the guy shot me, I felt the pain but I wouldn't die. I could still breath and move. My mom and sister can move objects mentally in their dreams, too. The sky is the limit, I guess. It's like being inside the Matrix LOL  Have fun! :dreams:
