Getting there. :P And stop calling me that!

My favourite vampire film has got to be Interview With The Vampire, it's also one of my favourites of all time too. Closely followed by The Lost Boys. And I think one of the first vampire films I watched was The Little Vampire, which kind of helped to build my abnormal obsession with them. Then came Underworld(s), those were so good. Absolutely excellent. But I will forever love Interview With The Vampire for Louis and Lestat.

And also Blade of course, and I am yet to watch Let The Right One In or Let Me In, because I have not gotten around to buying them yet. But by the looks of things, they may surpass Interview With The Vampire.

I must say, I was quite disappointed with the Darren Shan film that has come out, I loved that series. And the film was incredibly cheesy and suckish (heheh).

There is a new Fright Night remake movie coming out-- this one has Colin Farrell and Toni Collette in the lead, it looks as if it could be a good movie.

The original Nosferatu, from 1922, is definitely my fave. The Spanish-language version of Dracula in 1932 is good, too. It's the same as the Lugosi movie pretty much, but with different actors and all in Spanish. They did that with a few movies in the early days of sound, shot foreign-language versions of movies because they hadn't figured out how to dub or do subtitles yet.

Interview with a vampire (Johnny depp turn down the part for Lestat) my favorite.

30 days of night was ok very bloody,
they were fiends not romantic or anything like that.(finally) I just like the idea of the story. In an Alaska town where they have 30 days of complete darkness, which is true in Alaska they also have 30 days of light. But what a scary thought not only to survive one night but 24 hours each day for 30 days. awesome.

Night Watch (russian I think) was good
I think there is a sequel called Day Watch I havent seen it yet I heard it was even better than Night Watch

the preview Day Watch
http://youtu.be/ZtVD97ss7rU

I didnt like "let the right one in" I remember they compared it to twilight and was saying it was so much better and scarier..(I never saw twilight even tho it were film where I live) but the movie "Let the right one in" was so boring. It was mostly these 2 kids sitting in the cold and befriending each other. I was so disappointed because so many raved about it.

Xwikki I would give you my copy but I am not going to England anytime soon, but I have the DVD and I am never going to watch it again. Dont buy it...try and rent it you can first...idk you might like it. It just was really boring to me not scary at all...but it not commerical like either. gloomy and very slow.

I hated Blade...I lasted about 30 mins before calling it quits. But a lot of ppl enjoy it.

Thirst (Korea) was ok... I like the director but it wasnt his best stuff. Another one they raved about and it was so-so.

Dust til Dawn was ok (but I love QUENTIN TARANTINO)

Jude Law...havent seen it but want to now

Postby Soulkiss333 on Mon Oct 10, 2011 7:40 pm

thanks

I just couldnt get into blade I guess I have a hard time with half vampires (really??)or so called "good" vampires that go after "bad" vampires. I heard the second one was better and it has Donnie Yen in it (I love him I have a lot of kung fu movies...huge fan of kung fu) maybe I check that one out.

I never seen Twilight but 2 or 3 years ago on 4th of July I went to the vampire baseball outing the cast had, it was fun and got to met a lot of the cast the second movie hadnt came out yet so I met to them as well. It was film around here I might have to check it out just to see what I can recognize. But it seem commercialize to me and i heard a lot about it, and I just havent watch it because what I heard doesnt appeal to me like their skin glitters in the sun and they dont drink human blood...again nice vampires...boo doesnt sound like any vampires I ever heard of. It seem to take away from what a vampire is suppose to be. But then again a lot of movies do (even the ones I like)...they are suppose to be fiends and scary. Louie in interview with vampire was nice but he was my least favorite character too.

Salem's lot...was good. creepy, strange
I never saw Queen of the damn..I think that was the sequel to interview with a vampire. anyone ever seen it??

I think I saw a movie when I was young called vamps..it was scary but I was really little too.

Tim burton is making the old TV show dark shadows into a movie sometime next year...Johnny depp didnt turn down the role this time..haha

I didn't like Queen of the Damned, only because it really was 2 books squeezed into one movie. Yes it is kinda the sequel to Interview with a Vampire, in the sense that they were both written by Anne Rice, but you don't need to watch both to get the jist of it. There are no references to either movie to assume they are even related except the fact that there is a character called Lestat in both.
The only thing that I did like about Queen of the Damned is the music, I am an Aaliyah fan, however I thought her acting wasn't great.

I like the Blade trilogy. I like Underworld aswell, but only the first movie. I used to like the second one, but have watched it recently and I found it a struggle to stay interested towards the end. I guess it just dragged on a bit for my liking. I am excited that theres a new Underworld movie coming out, so I will watch it.
I'm not a big Twilight fan, because I don't think real vampires sparkle. I have watched the movies, I even tried to watch them all again before watching Breaking Dawn, and that was a struggle. I couldn't watch any of the movies again, but I will watch a new one if it comes out.

I agree they were better when they were underground.
But I like how the new stories dont spend forever to go over the details or origins.
Heres one that I have no desire to see but think it can make a good music video.

I didn't realize no one had mentioned True Blood, although technically it isn't a movie, it's a TV series.

I didn't realize no one had mentioned True Blood, although technically it isn't a movie, it's a TV series.
It makes Twilight look like a watered down PG version.

I like that show too, is it still on TV? I haven't seen it recently. It is better than Twilight and it has wolves too :D
