Sleeping problems

Postby Juliana on Tue Jul 05, 2011 3:26 pm

I was just wondering if everyone has dreams? Because my dad has a lot of sleeping problems and hee reckons he doesn't dream. He usually goes to bed @10-11 and wakes up @2-5.

Thankyou!!!

I know I have dreams...and I remember most of them which sadly can be a bad thing depending on the dream >~<

I am pretty sure everyone dreams, you dream every night, so a documentary told me. But sometimes you just don't remember them. It also said that you dream in black and white and then your memory puts the colour on to it. Hope this is helpful

I watched a similar documentary to the one spoken of, and they said that the color comes in when your imagination takes place. 'a pigment of your imagination' was said, pigment is usually the liquid in some paints to color pottery, or clothing. Everyone dreams, just some people don't remember any dreams at all.
Binaural beats is simply the way to make someone more psychologically induced. The mind picks up these signals and translates them as powerful impulses to the mind. It is this way in which we can forcefully induce lucid dreaming.

I can tell you from experience that your dad is probably suffering from sleep apnea. I had that and slept only 16 seconds per minute, which meant that I was getting 2.5 hrs of sleep nightly, if I slept at all. Sometimes I couldn't fall asleep at all. One only dreams if you get to a certain level of sleep. There are about 3 or 4 levels and alpha level is the top one. at that level there is not enough depth to escape conscious awareness, it's more like an extremely light nap.

I had that operation to fix it, called a uvulectomy, and then straightened out a deviated septum. I slept better but then recently found out that if there is a too high or too low level of copper in the body it will cause insomnia.
Breathing and chemistry balance is the key.

Heavy drinking and constant marijuana use lead many people to stop dreaming, or at least not remember if they do.
