My new additions since i was last here!

Star, one of my female leopard gecko's

Shadow, the other female leopard gecko

Freya, my female fancy himalayin (sp) rat

And sock, my other female double rex dumbo rat

They're all so amazing with they're own personalities! Even the gecko's! Shadow came out last night to explore and Star started looking for her in the viv, she didn't know where she had gone!

my girl pickles has a new boyfriend. my mom adopted a dog about a week ago. the rescue group said he is a long-haired dachshund. not that it matters, but i think he is a wire-haired dachshund mix, possibly with yorkie or poodle. his name is jack, and he really is a sweet little guy. anyhow, here he is with pickles.

Well, neither dog was "fixed" so eventually they decided they "liked" eachother, and here are the precious results:

In order of birth: Anubis, male, black and tan; Zeus, male, white and cream; Persephone, female, white, black and tan

My brother has a leopard gecko named Pheonix....the male died.....his name was Tacoma!

I have 3 hermit crabs named Speedy, Mu, and Three. 2 Betta fish name Ky and Row. A Kitten named Ember and a Doggy named Gizmo!

well, there is a new member to my household. yesterday i adopted a little kitty. i decided this would be a good weekend to adopt, because i took a couple vacation days as i was in need of a long weekend anyway.

there were 3 females to choose from. one was a gorgeous grey and white (and i have a spot for grey animals), but i did not want to be too swayed by looks. ultimately i chose the black and white girl, named "birdie," because she seemed to be the most confident of the three. she had been found in the woods with her siblings, and had to be hand raised (much like my hannibal). she is extremely affectionate and seems to be adjusting quite well so far.

so far hannibal (who looks friggin huge to me now) is wary of birdie, and keeps an eye on her. he growls and hisses at her when she gets close, but i suppose that is to be expected. last night birdie was giving hannibal a wide berth and would quickly run past anytime she needed to get by. i imagine after a week or two hannibal will get used to her.

pickles has been more of a concern, mainly due to birdie's small size. for her safety, i have been keeping pickles leashed for now. pickles has not been aggressive at all toward birdie. she just gets a little too excited. they have had a few brief play sessions next to me, and pickles has groomed her, but pickles just doesn't know her own strength.

i have transformed my half bathroom into a mini apartment for her, and i'll keep her in there when i'm away until she really gets acclimated and i don't have to worry so much about her getting hurt by power cord or whatever.

i haven't taken any pics yet, so i'll just post the pics on the rescue group's website. her name is going to change, but i haven't yet decided on what the new name will be. two strong possibilities are nikita and clarice.

Very cool Star.....good luck with her. And you seem to be a very responsible person by keeping her in one room until she's acclimated. I did the same with my cat 11 years ago. I spent alot of time with her and now she's one smart kitty. Make sure you train her well too.

i got these two pics yesterday.

so far things are going about as expected. hannibal is relaxing a little bit, or should i say, he isn't hissing much now. however, he is still wary, and who would have thought that a tiny kitten would send the evil guy running! :lol:

pickles is just having to learn how to be gentle, and that she can't use her rough bulldog style of play with her.

the name is still in question. i need to decide soon, because she has to go in next week to have some booster shots and will likely get microchipped while i'm at it. she is already spayed, so at least i don't have to worry about that. because i like matching names, i was initially drawn to either nikita or clarice.

there she is... my best friend in the world.. Sammy, a Portuguese Breed called "Rafeira Alentejana" (Alentejo Mongrel)... had her since she was 2 weeks old. couldn't resist to her cutteness... some people in my college called her Panda (She's is all white with a black eye and a black hear) and some called her Rocky (because of the black eye).
