Heh, you put one quality and two non-qualities. I think when thinking about the type of person you want to be with, it's much better to think about the qualities you want, not the ones you don't want. =]

I used that as an example, you seem to believe all rich guys are wankers. They are not.

Most guys, rich or poor are pretty much equal except bank balance. They both have good and bad points. If the only thing that was significantly different was the ban balance, the richer guy would 'win'. Simple as that.

This is from experience.

Oh no, I definitely do not believe that all rich men are jerks, I thought we were specifically talking about the jerks. It sounds as if you feel women are all gold diggers, is that correct? Like they would much rather take a moderate rich asshole and "love" them for their money, over a caring poor man because he falls short of expectations. Or have you changed to a more mild tone where you believe that women are just more comfortable being with a man who has financial security? By financial security I mean he can pay his bills, and have some money left over for extras. I agree that women choose a mate with financial security, because if they're looking to start a family they want to know their children will be taken care of and happy, especially if something should happen to them and the husband/father would have to assume sole responsibility. I can see that applying to the majority of women, however to just assume that they want a man with money because it's genetically wired into them is a bit over the top. As if they can't help it like its a mental disorder.... so are you giving gold diggers a medical excuse now?

Sorry, but i have to be clear here, am I talking to a child? Because its pretty pointless if if I am.

Giving gold diggers a medical excuse? WTF are you on about, stop making stuff up, save it for the playground.

Right, READ MY ORIGINAL POST. Its says money and power. MONEY - didn't specify they had to be millionaires - that just got made up along the way.

But anyway, you proved me right. You'd choose a guy with financial security (thats called MONEY, dear!) over one that didn't currently have it. That was my point. Nor did I mention anything bout gold diggers in my original post.

Neither would any responsible woman who is planning their future, do you see where I'm going with this? The fact that so many families rely on tax payer money proves that there are plenty of men who are not wealthy starting families.

Not really, they are just scrotes, with more often than not both parents relying on the taxpayer to pay for their families.

well, miss......er......emo? erm, talking about qualities in a relationship is pretty pointless with someone who hasn't even stepped out into the real world yet.

If someones going to debate my points, which I welcome, I at least would like someone who has some real world experience and left the security of school.

Sorry, but i have to be clear here, am I talking to a child? Because its pretty pointless if if I am.

Right, READ MY ORIGINAL POST. Its says money and power. MONEY - didn't specify they had to be millionaires - that just got made up along the way.

You guys are misconstruing my tone.... I just started College, sorry if I didn't specify, and I'm 22 definitely not a child, and I have my own children. I'm sorry I enjoy debating. Many older people go back to school to continue education as well. I was asking if gold diggers were what you were referring to- (money and POWER).

Just because there are gold diggers out there, it doesn't mean that they should represent the whole of women. If that were the case it could easily be said that men are shallow and only look for a woman with a pretty face, big tits, and a tight ass. Which is why they use those women in magazines, car ads, and movies. Those ugly rich men look for women like that, because they know they have the bait. However, I do agree that women who plan on settling down and getting married find it important that the guy can be a provider. The power thing I disagree with. That's a gold digger's traits, or a control freak who would like to use the guy's power for their bidding, because they weren't capable of coming into a position of such power with out him.

Its genetics, evolution etc Can't argue with it.

Here we are talking about gold diggers.

I have plenty of wealthy friends, none of whom are 'jerks', and likewise some who are nowhere near as wealthy, me included. All men have good and bad points, but if a guy is rich, wealthy and powerful, the bad points will be quickly glossed over compared to a poor man - and not just 'gold diggers', all women. That, folks, is the reality!

Here you are talking about the rich.

It seems as if the conditions keep changing so I'm a bit confused

RDevil there is a BIG difference between MONEY and MONEY and POWER. Anyone can have money... a begger can ask for a dollar and have money... someone who has money and power implies that they are rich. I don't really understand what point it is that you're trying to make because it keeps changing. But I see that people are now taking it that I'm trying to be offensive I'll stop

Why am I being called pessimistic???

Money is financial security and Power is the means to acquire a greater financial stability over time.

It does if we're trying to debate serious qualities in the real world. In school, you're in a bubble, even at university you're protected somewhat from the 'real' world. Things change dramatically when you leave education and have to make your own way without the security of being young. Christ, my views haven't half changed since I was just 21.

Yes, its genetics to choose someone with money and power. Power has nothing to do with gold diggers, i wasn't talking about footballers wives here you know.

Yanno what really pisses me off? When being a certain age defines your life experience or knowledge, people can't accept "oh hey, they've kinda got something and they're young." At all.

What on earth are you on about?

We're talking abut qualities in men that women prefer. These qualities change when your circumstances change ie leave school etc.

What the mafia (LOL) has to do with this is beyond me. Do the Mafia do speed dating for kids or something?

Now I do realise, your previous posts i take with a pinch of salt.

I had many experiences at 16, just like you, but as you'll learn yourself over time, those become irrelevant compared to the experiences you'll get later on in life.

My kid sister is the same, thinks she knows it all. I was the same at that age too. Its funny looking back on it now!

Lol, it's just oneeee huge fucked cycle.
Teens get pissed with being treated like kids, then when they hit adulthood they talk to teens like they were talked to themselves.

Oh, and no, I wont listen to anything you say because I think I'm freakin' amazing. :P

likewise.

Although I have to say, we never got treated like kids, we were given a free run, and were the better for it.

like i said though, your demands of men will change when you get into your twenties!
