The pub on Walnut Lane

I saw you at the pub tonight
down on walnut lane
the light was dim that faithful night
the air was wearing thin
a chill came from the bar keep
it chilled the drink I had
I knew that nothing was the same
the whole world has gone mad
And as I sip my drink I thought
of happy times back then
when silience was the golden rule
no guilty thoughts set in

And now I ask myself again
about that faithful night
had I say nay, I shall not leave
and hold you for the in plain sight
That is what I want to do
but now its just to late.
A few words I wish I took back
I was more than a lay.

And I am scared to speak a word
for there is too much change
But I will still remember you
down at Walnut Lane.
