could anyone shed some light on this.
im 20 years old and for about ten years i have been having the same dream atleast once a week where im in th middle of somewhere....loads of fields and i am in an old wooden 2 storey house. my mum is ill in it and my brother was about 5 in it, i was only about 8. i was looking after my mother when i looked out of the window. There was tornados evolving all around me apart from infront of me, i get my mum and brother out of the house and we start running and the twisters just keep coming after us from behind we dont stop running but thy get faster and so do we, my dream just keeps going on like that and some nights the whole dream repeats itself, it is really scary and i wake up in a cold sweat.

Because you have had these dreams for so long you have to look in the past to see what set them off in the first place, it must have been when you were between 8-10 years old.
The house is your physical body and because it is old this also tells me these are memories from the past, wood could mean that you feel emotionless and dead inside. Your mother and your sister are within the dream you have been looking after your mother who was ill. This is the feminine side of your psych to nurture and care for others. You are wanting to protect your most vulnearable members of the family I.E your mother and brother.
There is no mention of a father, is he around or is he the reason for your past trauma's, there was a life change for you around then, do you remember what it was?
I say that because it was not one tornado but several this is a symbol of someone around you who has or had a volitile personality and can be prone to violent outbursts, but it can also mean a situation you were in at the time. What ever it was it is still with you even now in adulthood. These are memories you may feel that you have overcome but subconciously they were never dealt with at the time and still haunt you during sleep.
