chapter one introduces the major players for the most part, except for the firefighters.

My facial expressions never really changed when I was reading it, exept for the part near the end when kingston reccomended that workshop, I was like "oh sh*t!!! no he didnt!!!

but I honestly think it will do really good, and would be heartbroken if its not published...

The only changes id make to it is when introducing jodi, do it at the beginning when her mom is talking to her. When the teacher called for them to see her after class, I didnt know who jodi was till I thought about it.

other than that, HOLY SH*T ITS GOOD!!!
I couldn't stop reading... I told a Lieutenant Colonel to f*ck off while reading it... :rofl:

I wish this eventually got a movie...

well tell your friend that once he/she gets past the first 10k words, the book takes on a life of its own and it gets easier. Also, tell your friend to start keeping a dream journal, thats how I get a lot of my best ideas. Several of the scenes in my book are from dreams.. also RL experiences... kimberley carson for example, is someone I knew in high school.. and that is exactly how she acted back then too!

I wish it wasnt already 8 oclock on monday night, I need an extra day in this weekend!! desperately!!

The second chapter was great. The beginning, you nailed it, how with a new couple theres always that "what if something happens to you". I remember going through this whole ordeal with the bf. at the beginning I had recently found out he has heart problems... but as I got to know him, I knew that its alright. hes a fighter, that isnt gonna let anything get in his way. I can tell you put a lot of your emotions in to that one scene with the journals, and I can see this scene being a tearjerker when the book comes out. however what happened at the lake? I didnt really pick up on that...

she started to transform.. you are talking about the part where she passes out right? I kind of want to keep that rather vague right now because I dont want to detract from the scene where she does her first complete transformation, but I want jodi to realize she is, what she believes at this point, is a freak. did you like the part where she caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror at home and saw the charred bits of clothing on her body? I wanted that to be a powerful visual image, more so than the part at the lake. trying to keep it mysterious.

the next chapter Jodi really gets into it with her mom and a lot of history is explained.
