I have successfully disturbed the order of my high school!

I wrote this story that, if you really want to understand why this is so funny, I suggest you read. It's called Stockholm Surprise, and I submitted it in the Literary Corner.


Okay, so a month or so ago I submitted Stockholm Surprise to a mandatory (yes, mandatory) contest for the PTA. The theme was "Wow!" and there were no restrictions put in place. My teacher thought it was a good idea, so it went in. Up until now, it hasn't really been a problem.

Well, the PTA took a gander at it and became concerned. They sent it to my superintendent, who then took a nice little trip down to the school to show it to my high principal, who showed it to my Guidance Counselor. She summoned me from seventh period.

Anyway, she started asking if I was going through that kind of thing and all this shit, which I can sort of understand. I never write about my own experiences, though. Anyway, I explain this to my Guidance Counselor, who takes me to the principal's office, where the superintendent was still inside. They start going off about it again, lecturing me about how it's sort of inappropriate and conveys the wrong message about our school. They said that, while it is well written, it will be taken out of the contest.

I couldn't care less about that stupid contest. If I did, I might have made more of an effort to be "appropriate". I just did it for laughs, really, and man did I get them. I spent the entire time in there trying to look ashamed, but I was laughing hysterically on the inside.

I have bred chaos with a three-page story! Who the hell cares about some contest?! This is so much better!

I love it how high schools try to act like their students don't understand the word "sex" or anything related to it. lol. I'm just guessing from context clues that it was sexual or disturbing. -shrug-

It's quite funny. Then again, I guess I can kind of understand since I think there were younger kids too.

Then again, where else are they going to hear this stuff? Gotta learn it sometime.

Wow that is very well written, I can see why the school freaked out. Congratz on creating such a sensation. That is better than winning a contest.
