Same dream over and over

Postby flowing.river on Fri Oct 03, 2008 1:52 pm

I keep having a dream where I'm in a swimming pool, and there's a sea lion in it. The first time I had the dream, it was mean and chased me and I couldn't swim very well. but I woke up right before it got me. The second time I had th dream, the sea lion was friendly and kept pushing me in the water, like it wanted to play. The last four or five times, it just ignored me, and I swam in circles. Last night I had the dream again, and this time I was racing my friends and the sea lion from one side of the pool to the other. And after I won, I walked on the water. That last one was probably the weirdest.

So now I'm wondering, does the sea lion mean anything? Because I haven't been to SeaWorld or an aquarium or anything recently. And the pool. I can't swim very well, but I could in the dream. Does walking on water mean anything?

When the sea lion was mean and chased you, was it vicious (like a wild animal) or could it have been trying to tell you something? Swimming pools and other bodies of water tend to represent our inner emotions and swimming represents exploration of our emotions. The sea lion may represent your intuition or your subconscious. When it chased you at first, it could have represented something that your subconscious was trying to tell you to the point that it was eating away at you or something.

This dream speaks of conflict, attempt at reaching out, waiting or not getting anywhere, competing or struggling, winning and transcending (the walking on water). Is there anything difficult in your life that has resolved itself or that is no longer a worry? If so, you may stop having these dreams.

As for the walking on water, it might mean that you have conquered or "risen above" your emotional difficulty, if there is or was one in your life.

Hope this helps!
