Bird in stomach and doctors

Hello,

I have been tossing this dream I had recently around in my mind...and I'm wondering if someone could offer some insight.

I had a dream I was in a bright area, outdoors, by stone, stadium like seating. I remember seeing several little butterflies. I was at the top level of the seating, when out of nowhere my mom rushed over and told me that I swallowed a small dark bird and that it was living in my stomach and would eventually make me very ill...mom was an intense-worried. I could see the bird in my mind's eye and could somewhat feel it fluttering around. I was in a confused state, thinking "how/when did this happen?" She laid me on my side and said that the illness is progressing quickly and that we had to get the bird out immediately. I started feeling like I was going unconscious & everything got really bright (like too much sunlight).

Then 2 doctors showed up. They lifted up one of my legs and each one took my pulse, one at my thigh and one at my ankle. Then they said my lung was collapsing & grabbed a long sharp tube and pushed it through my skin, between my ribs, and into my lung to inflate it. I remember tightly shutting my eyes, wincing, and kicking my legs in response to the tube being pushed into my lungs...it was a dull general pain in the area the tube went in...and felt like a lot of pressure more than anything else. Then everything went white and I woke up.

Do you think that was some kind of healer/psychic surgeon dream?

Interestingly the dream is entirely about what is in something else - the pulse in your leg, the bird in your stomach, the air in your lungs; the dream posits that all three are somehow interconnected, this being illustrated by the leg pulse being the method of diagnosis, the mother claiming the bird is the cause, and the tube into the lungs as the cure.

As far as the taking of your pulse on your leg (which is not typical) - I'd research accupuncture and pulse diagnosis to see if there is credibility to the dream. I have limited familiarity with pulse diagnosis and as far as I know, while it can yield remarkable information, it is usually taken on the arm. However if it is a psychic healing dream as you are wondering about,and if there is a lung or stomach channel on the thigh and ankle, it is possible that a similar pulse diagnosis technique may exist in the context of subtle channels.

Since legs have to do with standing on your own two feet, and the stomach can have to do with fear and anxiety, and being unable to breath is a symptom of anxiety - i would guess the little black bird is fear that destroys the strength/ pulse in your leg(s), and affects your ability to breathe in life. There is also another clue for this direction, perhaps - the butterflies - they seem to play no obvious role in the dream, however there is the phrase "butterflies in one's stomach" to refer to anxiety; only in this case it's much more serious than just butterflies, it's a dark bird.

Thank you! This is very interesting and I am currently researching. This seems like an interesting nudge to pursue. I appreciate your input. It was completely fitting for what was happening at the time. I was being relocated by my employer to Florida (from Chicago), which was a BIG move for me. I didn't know anyone in Florida, but I was still excited . I think my subconscious was trying to tell me that there is something causing anxiety that I needed to pay attention to. Still trying to figure it out.

Your insight opened my eyes to some new thoughts! Much appreciated.
