My ex boyfriend texted me love you, lol I hate you?

He broke up with me over text on august 19th this year, and im pretty much over it now, and him. But why did I have this dream????

I was at lunch at school, and I was thinking about texting him, even though I had a gut feeling I shouldnt. But I did. He immeaditely texted me back
and his response was, "what do you want?" I dont remember what I said, but I do remember seeing his reply, and it was, "lol I hate you."
???? But thats where im confused, because i remember starting to cry and my other ex boyfriend showed up(me and him are friends) and he got like really
angry at him, and then i later viewed our texts again, and I saw that he had also texted me, Love you before the i hate you, i just never saw it.
Very confuseddd...? I hope this makes sence, its a little hard to explain.
