Crazy dream (Please help)

Ok so I have to start with a short background history: I am a single parent and the father has not been around for 5 years. He came back around almost a month ago and I have been very stressed but at the same time it has been really nice talking to him. No we have not seen each other in person, only having phone convo's being that both our lives are a little crazy at the moment.

Now the dream: Last night I had a dream that I was at his job (he works as a hospital security) we were just visiting things felt very relaxed not stressed. Then his ex wife shows up with their daughter. Things were fine no awkward moment, I was just talking and playing with his daughter like I have seen her many times before. The whole time his ex wife kept watching us interact. I kept having the feeling of uneasiness because I was afraid I was going to do something wrong and make his ex mad. I was confused at the fact that this child seemed to know me and that my own child was nowhere int his dream. Then the child said she need to use the bathroom. My thought was that her mother would take her since it is her child but that didn't happen. Her mother didn't move, so I took her to the bathroom. It was then things really got crazy, the child started misbehaving and the sink in the bathroom wouldn't stop running. The whole bathroom started to fill with water. I was feeling very scared that the child was going to drown so I picked her up. The whole time I still kept feeling like her mother would really get upset with me because I did something wrong. It seemed almost like I was trying to get approval from her. The whole time this was going on my child's father and his ex were talking and not really paying any attention to their child and me at this point. It felt like to me they were being civil, almost like friends but not like best friends. I was finally able to get the bathroom door open and the water kinda just disappeared and I woke up.

It just really confused me because first I had no idea why I was there, it didn't seem like we had been talking about our child but it felt like it was a normal thing. The second thing was that I have never had communications with his ex wife because he wasn't around while our child was growing. I knew of her just as she knew of me. The third thing that confused me was my interactions with his other child. I have no reason to have that type of interaction at all nor should I have been trying to seek approval and/or feel worried that I was going to make his ex wife mad by doing something wrong with their child. The fourth thing was the water in the bathroom. It's like the moment their child and I leave their sight all hell breaks lose and the whole time I am scared of the ex wife as well as the safety of the child. Above all else the thing that bothers me the most is where on earth was my daughter and why was I not even concerned she wasn't there?!?!?!

I believe this dream doesnt so much have anything to do with your ex's child or ex's wife.
Its more about you and your emotions you have for your ex. You said the little girl was acting up when you went to the bathroom, it says to look to the drowning victim for answers. Does her behavior in anyway match yours? Are you acting out in any way? Are you reverting to old ways since talking with your ex? Always looking for approval by him or anyone? Is there envy there? Feeling like your drowning? I ask you all this only cuz I think there is more to it then just the ex wife and her daughter. I dont normally do dream interpretation like this but as I said this dream is about you. Only you and how your feeling and what your going through. I Think you should proceed with caution. This can be a very difficult situation am sure you already know that. Im sorry I couldnt help that much but I felt I should try.
