A while back I had a dream where I saw myself in the yard of a relative's house. A distant relative I used to visit as a child. In the dream there was a feeling of nostalgia for those good innocent happy days when I picked fruit with no care in the world. The yard was large and bare of grass, in it there were lots of tropical fruit trees at the back end of the yard, quite a distance from the house. All of the sudden I find myself running for my life from the comfort of the trees in the direction of the house. I can feel the moist dirt under my bare feet and in between my toes. There are other people running too but I do not know these people. Some already have been stabbed and bleeding over the dirt ground. The stabbing is done by a male figure that was chasing us with a large knife. I find myself running to a door that was closed then I see a few doors to my right a door opened halfway, the kitchen. I run in and hide behind the door but I know this is not a safe place, there is someone in the kitchen and I tell this person not make a sound, that there is a person coming our way with the intention of killing. In a panicked state I tell myself to calm down, to slow my breathing and to pretend that I am not scared which in the dream it also feels as if I need to blend into the house, into the life that is present in that kitchen. The person with the knife comes in and I don't remember if I was stabbed or if the other person was.

Hi,
When a dream mentions "kitchen" and food it is usually caused by some digestion problem. Your subconscious dug up an experience from the past when you gorged yourself with fruits and had a bellyache after.
The subconscious creates the dream to take your mind of the bellyache you're experiencing in the sleep as indigestion and other such problems resolve themselves in time. So it is unlikely that you felt any pain you woke up.
