Very Disturbing Reocurring dream. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN!?

Postby Aquakia on Sun Sep 23, 2012 10:18 am

Ever since I was young, I have had this very disturbing reoccurring dream. Its one of those dreams where I'm lucid, sometimes I'm even aware that I am dreaming but unable to change my circumstances. I think as I normally do and act rationally, consciously aware of what I'm doing.

the events occur as follows:

I am on vacation/ visiting somewhere with my Parents and Younger Brother. I always appear as a child in these dreams, and my brother is always younger.
Wherever we're visiting location-wise varies, but always involves some large building with lots of windows (the architecture and color varies).

My brother and I pass out and get abducted.

The next thing I know, I wake up and I am in a huge, mostly empty building that looks like a manufacturing complex, and I am one of hundreds of children all around me that have also been abducted; my brother is gone.

All of us children are treated as slaves for the abductors, who are always shadowy/ we can never really see who they are. We do manual labor throughout the large complex and are always very uniform and organized.

I always seem to be the oldest one among all the children in the dreams, so I think of a plan to escape and free all of the children.
I begin to sneak out of the complex, almost always through some hole in the ceiling/ some place I have to climb to.
I am the first one to get out into the open air, and I urge the rest of the children to follow, but at this point- I get caught.

Some guards see me and alert security. I run, hoping that at least I can make it out and alert the public of the rest of the children's location.

As I am about to run out of the building's perimeters and escape to freedom, I am blocked by a barricade of guards.
They are always dressed in black and are armed. Even though they have guns, I always fight them. Like a fist fight. I go and take on them all, fighting as hard as I can to get past.

As hard as I fight, I'm never strong enough. I always wake up as I am struggling and losing the battle.

In the most recent incarnation of this dream, I have gotten closer to freedom than ever before, getting to fight all the guards well outside of the building's perimeter, where in past versions, I usually never did or barely made it out.

WHAT THE HELL DOES THIS MEAN!? :?

Hi Aquakia, what I gathered from your dream (now this is just a hunch) is that your nightmare is interpreting you're fighting something that you're being forced to do. It doesn't have to be physical, such as forced manual labor. But that you feel you're being treated as a child, unintelligent or incompetent. Or maybe there's a situation where someone could possibly be using you and telling you to fight back.
Think about situations where this could be happening. Or who the "shadow guards" might be representing.
Could this possibly be representative of your school? The other children along side you your fellow peers and the guards the teachers?
Or maybe the way you feel the government is treating it's country?
Trying thinking about what's going on it your life and the significance of this nightmare.
