I dreamed of the devil and I'm very concerned

In my dream I visited hell. A choice had to be made between me, and this woman who had a child, which of us would go to hell. She and her child ended up being chosen to go to hell. But, I became her. I was the other woman, not myself, and my child and I were in hell. The child also had some tiny stuffed toy or pet. The devil separated me from my child, and the child from their pet/stuffed toy. So none of us had each other for comfort. Then the devil started to play games with me, making me go through these obstacles (don't remember exactly what they were, they were like games that became progressively harder). The opening to the passage out of hell was visible, so I could see the means to an escape, but couldn't reach it. The games or obstacles became more and more difficult, the devil let me know that if I could pass them all I would be allowed to leave hell, but I knew there was no way that would be possible because there was no chance I'd be able to pass the games/obstacles, as they became even more impossible. Hell was very colorful, and seemed like a giant funhouse of terror. There were also demons along the way doing things to impede my progress.
Then suddenly I was no longer in hell, but the devil still knew where I was and was just waiting for the next opportunity to claim me again. I was by myself, walking down a street I used to live on when I was younger. When I was in hell, I couldn't really see the devil, he was more of an essence. However when I was back on earth, he appeared to me in the form of a purple cat.
Then the dream switched, and I was part of a team of detectives investigating a murder or murders and trying to track down a serial killer. I went to a hotel and had to ask for a certain person I wanted to question. In the dream, I was an amateur detective and not quite sure what I was doing. I was supposed to interview a woman, but the woman turned out to be a guy, a drag queen who did shows at the hotel. I asked him a few questions and his answers indicated to me a woman as a possible suspect. He gave me her name and a description, but I realized I had forgotten a pen and paper and had to ask the drag queen guy to borrow one so I could take notes, and I felt embarrased and unprofessional. I was then looking for the other members of my detective team. They turned out to be right in that same hotel, and we were looking for someone. I went to a deserted room where I knew that a white wolf statue or stuffed wolf would be, and I knew the devil was in the wolf, but I was compelled to go to the room and seek it out anyway.
The hotel then became building full of condo apartments and instead of detectives, we were realtors showing the condos in the building.
Then suddenly I was at a place, it seemed to be a giant orchestra where alot of classical musicians and conductors were getting ready to perform, and it was outside. Again the devil was there but he had taken some other form, of which I don't quite recall. I had been trying to tell one of the conductors about it and he didn't believe me. Then all of a sudden he saw the devil where a person had been just moments ago. The devil took 3 different forms one right after the other (very odd, like vegetable forms), and then the conductor who had seen the devil disappeared and I knew the devil had claimed him. I felt horrible, but at the same time relieved, because some other people had seen what happened and now believed me and didn't think I was crazy.
The dream ended in that same outdoor area, but farther out in the woods. It appeared to be a very sunny fall day, and myself and some other people (it seemed we were teens or boys and girls rather than grown adults) had gathered to pay some kind of tribute or memorial to the man that the devil had gotten who had disappeared. The last thing I remember I was kicking at a pile of dried leaves as if I was trying to cover something up, or uncover something, and clouds of flies were flying out of the pile of leaves.

You seem to be trapped by some situation without hope of escape or resolution. You feel alone in this, and are afraid of failure. Someone may be blaming you for something you didn't do. The drag queen and the white wolf that was the devil represent someone who is deceiving you: white is the color of purity, but the wolf was not pure. As for the man that was taken: Did you just end a relationship? Have you ever ended a relationship and later regretted doing so?

Thank you for your response. I do have people who are close to me who at times try to guilt me, who would like me to feel sorry for them; I do feel trapped at times in certain situations. I am happily married, but a long time ago in my life I did end a long term relationship that I still feel guilty about at times. This dream has just really freaked me out and I can't stop thinking about it.
