Dream about recently deceased husband

Postby Jannah9974 on Mon Sep 17, 2012 12:27 pm

Hi my husband he died on August 29th I had a dream this morning that he was in our old apartment sitting in a chair with no clothes on cold and shaking he was crying and I had to pry door open to get in and he was shaking and crying saying I wish I would have let you change me. And in the dream I did not know he was dead and I said honey it is never too late to change stop.
I do not understand what this dream means. Is he trying to communicate with me?

Hi,
Why did he need changing? Drugs? violence?
Dreams are responses to what happens to the sleeper during the sleep. So you can dimiss the "idea" that your husband wants to get in touch. The most likely cause of the dream is that you have not yet got over his death. The thoughts of him intrude into your sleep. Another cause for the dream could be that you felt cold during the sleep. If the dream happened during a nap, you can take it simply as a waking dream.

My husband was my best friend really my only friend we spent almost every minute together. He had a beautiful heart and was a good man but he was uptight and closed minded about some things and had an over controlling mother he worked for the family business I tried to get us to move away and start our own business and life but he was scared to get cut off from her and let her control our lives. He had bad arthritis in pain so much of the time I used to have to help him out of bed and put his shoes on and was addicted to painkillers in which several times he even fell asleep on the toilet. I tried to get him off of them and make him more active. He was about 100 lbs overweight I tried to get him to exericse and lose weight. He was only 46 years old He had gotten pnemonia from getting vomit in his lungs and the doctors said pnemonia was gone and he was going to be released the next day but that night he had cardiac arrest and his heart stopped for 20 minutes then he never woke up and he died 2 days later.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
I'm sorry for your loss. IN situations like yours, the anguish of thinking that you could have helped him lingers. You cant help thinking about him and that impacts on your sleep and dreams. Time will heal, however looking forwards helps. You're young enough to find happiness with someone new. Things past remedy should be past care.
Good luck.

I am 38 I was married to my husband for 4 years and 2 months I do not plan to remarry I will be patient till I meet him again in the next life God willing we can be together. My husband was only 46 and he never had children. I have a daughter who is 18 and a grandson who is 3 months but she is not my husbands nautural child he did not have any of his own. I wanted to have a baby with him but wasnt blessed with one but Im lucky to have been married to a good man who loved me for 4 years. Those were the best 4 years of my life. This is the first dream I had since he died on august 29th and I wanted to know if anyone thought he was trying to communicate with me as I woke up very scared and was upset because he was crying saying he wish he would have let me change him. I was afraid he was caught in a bad existence and I was terrified. I hear about other widows who have said that there spouse and family members who died communicated with them through dreams and then I found this dream site and was wondering if anyone had any ideas. Before my grandmother died she said my grandfather who she was married to for 52 years was reaching out to her in her dreams and she told us she was going to die my grandfather needed her. Nobody beleived her but a week later she had a brain aneurism. My husband was so sad in my dream this scared me because I want for him to be at peace in a great place but he was terrified in my dream.
