Exorsisms

Postby patsavanna on Fri Sep 07, 2012 4:48 am

These nightmares are becoming more and more recent. Nightmares that I am a priest performing an Exorsism on either my wife, my 1 year old daughter, or this young girl I've never met. This girl is always the same. 8-9 years old, long black hair and beautiful brown eyes with a blue dress.

The thing I remember most is the complete fear as I perform the Exorsisms and no matter how
hard I fight, I never successfully rid the person of the demon. At rare times ill dream that I'm performing an Exorsism on the girl from a movie called the Exorsist from the 1970s when I have that one I'm always running away from her in terror.

Forget the movie, Do not let it into your head.

You seem afraid of not doing it right, or your afraid of demon's.
or it's something in your life you don't want to fail at, or a person you don't want to let down.

I hope you don't find this offensive:

It seems to me that you're insecure. Maybe you have a fear that you won't have what it takes to care for a family because recent events have you thinking you can't save/help anybody.

If that's not the case, I'm willing to listen to what you think are the reasons you're suddenly having exorcism nightmares so frequently.

Wow I think your both spot on... I've always had a fear of demons and that fear caused me to step down from being a priest... on top of that... I now have a wife and daughter who I am unable to care for due to me being unable to get a decent paying job. Thank you
both very much!!!

patsavanna, though you may feel guilty for doing so, I think stepping down was the right decision. IMO, your fear would have made you ineffective if you really found yourself in a situation like that of your nightmares. :hugs:
