Please help me find out what this means

I had a very strange dream this morning, might be a bit long sorry..

I was in a very old, dark house that I have never seen in my life. My boyfriend and I were lying in a bed, but I got up. Before I got to the door of the room, i was pulled back. He was attacking me with an old rusty knife.
He slashed both my legs and both my arms.
I ran out of the room but when I reached the hallway it was pitch black and I could hear people screaming and mumbling.
All the doors along the hall were open and I could see the shape of people but not there faces, they seemed to be just darkness. Every door I passed someone said something to me but I don't know what.

I was in a dress so it was very hard to run but I eventually got down to the kitchen, there was a maid of sorts there and I screamed at her for help. But everyone ignored me.. It was like they were all dead. They were a sickly pale green colour too. And the house smelt like musk.

When I lifted up the long dress to show her my very deep cuts on my legs and realised that I was wearing the same dress as snow white (movie) .. I ran over to the corner where I noticed all my dads family but slipped in sick on the way.
My uncle was the only one who would help and came upstairs with me.

When we got upstairs, i noticed a ladder in the middle of the hallway, I didn't climb it but looked up it and seen ,y boyfriend staring down at me with an evil grin. My uncle too stopped but climbed up the ladder laughing and joking with him.

There was a room directly across from the ladder and someone was calling me even though I couldnt see them. I stood in the doorway trying to make there faces out but then I just blacked out and woke up.

(this might help a bit: I don't like being in the dark unless there is someone there with me.)

shapes of people / no faces, saying things that you couldn't understand. Please clarify here: Did you not understand because it was code or foreign language, or was it not audible. Did you feel you needed to understand what they said, or did you not care.
Your dads family (please clarify what you mean by "slipped in sick" on the way
Your uncle
Someone calling you (was this one of the faceless people earlier or was this someone new)

And are these the symbols?

A rusty knife
Wounds on arms and legs
A ladder

I just couldn't understand what they were saying, it wasn't audible to me.
What I meant by slipped in sick on the way was that as I made my way over to them, I stepped in vomit and fell.
And the person who was calling me was also a faceless person but a new one if you get me.
