Afraid To Sleep!

I am actually afraid to go to sleep. Ever hear the song "Caffine" by Alice Cooper? That's me. It's odd. I know that my nightmares really aren't much to worry about, but just that moment when I'm trying to fall asleep, I get so afraid. I start seeing things and "feeling" things. Maybe it's just the anticipation of the freaky dreams that worries me, I don't know, and the truly insane part? I actually kind of like it.

P.S. I do everything I can to stay up at night now.

A lot of people have this kind of problem, especially if there is some stress or tension in their life at the time. It is called "Hypnogogic imagery"Sometimes it is preceeded of followed by bangs, noises, voices or jerks. It will pass now you know about it.
Try to go to sleep in a fetal position - never on your back or belly. My guess is that you go to bed and lie on your back waiting for "Godot"

Not necessarily , but close enough. But maybe now that I know I'm somewhat sane, I'll be able to sleep well. Thanks!
