Strange Reaccuring Dream (friend's dream, not mine)

My friend keeps having very emotional dreams, in which she gets kidnapped and put in a glass box, seeing everyone she loves and cares about on the outside. Then the box fills up with water, and no one answers her when she pounds on the glass for help. I understand what the drowning part means, but am not exactly sure if the glass box is important or not. Help would be nice, please.

from what I read I felt like her being in a glass box was like her hoping that someone will see the obvious and she feels ignored. Does your friend ever have a hard time talking to people about her feelings? Consider the phrase "living in a glass house" meaning everyone knows your business or knows things about you, the lack of privacy, except in her dream its more like she's wanting people to see her and pay attention. Be there for her, she obviously needs a good friend
