How many hours do you sleep every night? You can say bye bye to lucid dreaming if it's less then 6 hours. Google sleep duration and lucid dreaming. You'll know the exact reason. You should aim close to 8 hours of sleep most of the days to be successful in lucid dreaming. :)

What worked for me was to begin writing, after I woke up, about what I wished I had dreamt about, and then read it before I went to sleep that night.

I went to bed earlier last night after reading this, i remembered a fragment of a dream so thank you. Thank you to the poster directly above me as well, for taking the time to help, have not tried that yet though. Im also wanting to learn astral projection so i needed to get to bed earlier anyway.

You're welcome :) The more you sleep; the better it is.

I only sleep about 3 hours a night, if lucky, and my dreams tend to be rather lucid. I am at least aware when I'm dreaming, though. I never, however, can remember a dream unless it takes the cake for weird in some way. Only had a small handful like that in my life! Like, 5! The insomnia, though, is something I can't manage to get rid of. I take AD/HD meds, which have fucked up my sleep cycle. Permanently.
