How to Lucid Dream (Guide) and what they are

Postby cob354 on Mon Jan 09, 2012 5:07 pm

Hey  I'm Cob and I'm going to tell you what a lucid dream is and how to lucid dream. First of a lucid dream is when one knows they are dreaming and take control of the dream and do whatever they want the only limit is your imagination. You cannot be harmed in a Lucid Dream so don't be afraid! They can actually help you overcome your fears.

Ok now on to how to Lucid Dream. I've been interested in lucid dreaming for quite a while and on this site also and I just wanted to help anyone who is interested in lucid dreaming because I know of a few techniques that have worked for me and others that i read other places online, in books, ect. (Make sure you can remember your dreams before attempting to lucid dream otherwise you'll never remember them if you have them

First,
my favorite, the WILD technique(Wake Initiated Lucid Dream),
this technique is when one wakes up 5-6 hours after they fall asleep, stay up for a little while some people say to stay up for 90 minutes but I don't think thats necessary stay up for about 10-20 minutes but make sure your actually awake and not dosing of every couple of minutes (this may be hard for some) then when your going back to sleep you want to repeat in your head "I am in a lucid dream" eventually when you keep saying this you will actually be in a dream! Or you can count down from 100 saying 99 I am in a Lucid Dream, 98 I am in a lucid dream, ect. Note: sometimes when I wake up and then go back to sleep I don't need to repeat this all I do is just say I'm going to be in a lucid dream then go back to sleep without repeating it over and over because that can get annoying.

Second,
there is the DILD technique (Dream Initiated Lucid Dream) this technique is when you just randomly become lucid in a dream.

This technique can take sometime. What your going to want to do for this is to do reality checks throughout the day, there are a couple of techniques i know you can use, writing a C on your hand (stands for Conscious) and every time you see that think to yourself "Am I dreaming?" and if you do this enough in your waking life you will do this in your dream state and then You'll be lucid! Also you can look at a clock and when you look at them then look away than look back again the numbers will be different. Same thing works for looking at sentences the letters will be different. Lastly, you can use pain as a trigger to seeing if your awake (Do not make yourself bleed or hit yourself hard, simply bite your cheek (softly) or pinch yourself(lightly) and if you feel pain your awake if you do this enough in waking life you will do this in a dream time and you'll be Lucid Dreaming!

Thirdly, keep a dream journal, notice your dream signs and eventually you'll be Lucid dreaming everyday! :P

Fourth, the MILD technique (Mnemonic Induction of Lucid Dreams), created by Stephan LaBerge in this technique you want to A be able to recall your dreams B do reality checks C before you go to bed keep telling yourself I'm going to have a lucid dream over and over and D visualize your dream also you have to be deeply relaxed when you do this so right when you wake up in the morning eventually your visualization of your dream will become an actual dream then BOOM your lucid dreaming! :) Also meditate before you go to bed it can be quit relaxing

Note: Never Stop trying! It can get annoying after a while of not having one trust me it happens a lot! :banghead: If you haven't experienced a lucid dream yet your first one odds are your going to get over excited and wake yourself up but sometimes when you wake up it can be a false awakening(when you think your awake but your really still in your dream). Don't get over excited in your dreams that can lead to waking up.I will check this post regularly so if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask! Also check out this persons website http://www.world-of-lucid-dreaming.com/ a lot of my information came from here it also goes into more detail mines just basic and easy so its more understandable. Happy Lucid Dreaming! :D

Ah excellent. An experienced lucid dreamer. Just what I need.

I'm currently researching lucid dreaming and practising everynight. It's going pretty well though I keep getting exited and waking up but if there is anything I'm missing...

I am starting a kind of blog where I post everynight and report the events and happenings last night. It's called "Journey to the lucid" if you wanted to take a gander. :king:

Keep practicing its the best way to becoming a everyday lucid dreamer. I would like to look at you blog just leave me a link! :D Again if you have any questions just ask. Also the reason I haven't had many lucid dreams the past couple of months is because I stopped for a while, but now I'm back! :D In order to stop getting excited rub your hands together that'll "stabilize" your dream.

The technique that I use is to fall asleep while daydreaming. Works every time for me. :)

Re: How to Lucid Dream (Guide)

Postby ComaWhite on Wed Jan 11, 2012 7:53 am

This is great! Thank you! Maybe you could offer me a bit more advice on the subject..
I have lucid dreams every now and then (maybe 7 in my life total) and they seem to happen randomly. Last night I used the second method because I had a horrible dream about a breakup and even though everything was completely realistic and I didn't see anything wrong within the dream I told myself that there was no way this could be happening, I must be dreaming.
I basically started lucid dreaming out of desperation...I accepted the fact that this might be real life and I might be breaking the law by doing what I was doing (smashing objects into cars).
Then I started trying to fly which is my go-to lucid dream action and after a while I did it! What a relief!

I usually only fly around and stay close to the ground because I'm afraid of going into space or going very high. I'm scared I'll fall or get lost or something... How can I get over this fear?
I went much much higher than I've ever been before, and I was finally in space, seeing planets and stars. However, everything looked misshapen. It's as if I was on acid!
The planets turned into flowers and had bright colors, but I'm still sure I was in a lucid dream because I kept telling myself how weird this was etc..

So my question is, when you lucid dream do you see things as they really are or is it possible to still see dream weirdness even when lucid? If so, how should I control it?
I'd like to start having the most realistic lucid experiences as possible and I want to work at getting them every night.

Thanks :)

Hey ComaWhite  , thanks for the feed back I'll update that ASAP. So u want to lucid dream every night? That is a hard task but possible. Start a dream journal, that is the key to lucid dreaming every night. What that means is you want to write all of your dreams in great detail, don't skip any parts, every time you wake up remember your dreams and write them down, then once you have a couple of entries read through them and see what they have In common, say there's a bear in all of your dreams take that as your "dream symbol" what that is is a person, place or anything that keeps reoccurring in your dreams. What your going to want to do is take that and everytime you see your dream symbol check to see if your dreaming it actually works! I've had experience with doing something like that so I know for a fact it works. There you go! Hope this helped if it didn't just ask me more questions I won't care how many you have I'll answer them.! Happy Lucid Dreaming!

Re: How to Lucid Dream (Guide) and what they are

Postby VivalaGloria101 on Wed Jan 11, 2012 7:07 pm

Last summer I did do a lot of reality checks, and within a week I had my first 'on purpose' lucid dream. Then I don't know, I sort of forgot about it, didn't get enough sleep for a while. So now I've been keeping a dream journal since the end of November and have been trying pretty hard to LD again, but I'm not sure if I'm reality checking enough during the day. I need a solid way to remind myself to do so. Every time I walk into a room is very well... bothersome. Plus it's not the most convenient for me. I don't think that every hour would work either, because I never really can tell time in my dreams, or at least I've never seen a clock in my dreams, or it wasn't that important that I actually noticed.

Anyways, I started my dream journal up again on November 24th, had a VERY short lucid dream on the 27th, and then another on Dec. 13th, since then I haven't had a single lucid dream... *sigh* any advice? Hope that ramble made sense :D

Hello, cob354: I see that you are very good at being lucid.

Did you try to find out the next day winning lottery numbers. Let's say, just deciding in your dream to go and check what are the winning numbers for next Saturday Power Ball lotto? Actually it's very serious question.

I saw TV program about dreams, one man, lottery winner, said that his late father came into hi s dream and gave him lottery numbers.

If you haven't experienced a lucid dream yet your first one odds are your going to get over excited and wake yourself up but sometimes when you wake up it can be a false awakening(when you think your awake but your really still in your dream)

Ahhh..
I've had only one lucid dream, and it was only semi lucid. I found out it was called lucid dreaming one week after I had it.
This was in around October.

The dream started with me waking up at my grandma's house in the room I usually sleep in when I'm over there, and I stood up and walked a bit in the room, and then there was a couch, and on it there were four laptops. Same type as I have irl. One was perfect, another was a bit damaged, the third one was more damaged and the fourth one looked like dinosaurs had used it.

This was when I became lucid, I was all confused thinking that this is NOT possible. I was there thinking for a little bit, idk what, then I walked out of the room, and met my grandma. I don't remember what happened now, but I followed her downstairs for some reason. Though, almost at the end of the stairs, there was a door... And this lead to a little closet room. ( EDIT: That closet isn't there in real life actually, it'd lead to the outside if so, just FYI )

I think me and my grandma started to have an argument about something and I walked inside the closet, I became scared because I didn't know what was happening because I didn't know it was a dream. I then ran out of the closet and straight up to the room I wake up in and tried to go to sleep, I felt that I just had to go to sleep to try and get out of it.

I then woke up in my own bed, and was relieved that I was awake and that the dream was just a dream. Then something happened, and it made me realise that I was still dreaming. I can't remember what. I went back to sleep immediately and then I woke up and that was the real wakeup. What I JUST remembed however, was that when I had that false wakeup, the lights were ON. And I sleep with the lights OFF... Lol.

So I really want to have more of these, but be able to control them.

hey vivalagloria101  , don't worry i understood what you said :D . I have a couple of ideas of what you can do, FIrst you don't need to do exactly what the technique says to do mix it up do what you feel will work and you may end up starting your own technique  . Second try a new technique! You don't want to stay on the same one for a long time and it not even work for you! Also sorry for being gone I've been busy but I'm back! :P Happy Lucid Dreaming

Well, I'm going to try writing something on my hand to remind myself of reality checks, because those have worked pretty well for me. And during my dreams the scenery is always a mix of two real life places (yet somehow I never find that odd in my sleep)
Before I have sort of unconsciously done the WILD technique... I read about it that day, and for the next week I accidently woke up in the middle of the night... usually I was so tired I just fell back asleep. :dreams:

Do you know any other techniques? Thanks a lot! :)

Hey diventurer, Sounds like a really cool dream/lucid dream! They are a lot of fun! check out the techniques that i posted maybe they'll help you achieve a lucid dream, also i read somewhere that lights won't turn off in a dream but then somewhere else it said they did, I've never tried it so I don't no, try it out for yourself! hey VivalaGloria101  , If your too tired stay up a little longer but not too long otherwise you won't be able to get back to sleep :o . Also you don't think it's odd because your logic center in your brain is turned off when you sleep thats why when you wake up you look back at your dream and see how ridiculous it was because your logic center is back on. I do have some more techniques ill comment when I put more up! and your welcome! thanks for the positive feed back! Happy Lucid Dreaming! :D

Postby VivalaGloria101 on Mon Jan 16, 2012 2:17 pm

Thanks a lot, you've been very helpful! I have some questions about WILD though...

Last night I tried the WILD technique for the first time... I was a little afraid to do it so I tried around 6:00am (haha, a little less dark making it less scary?) I was really surprised when it started working. I didn't really see any hallucinations as some people say, but I definitely felt the sleep paralysis and heard/felt a buzzing while my heart sped up and my eyes started doing that REM type thing.

Here comes the question: When would you usually start imagining your dreamscape during this method? Because I started a little after the SP, but it was hard to concentrate because I was trying to keep calm while freaking out  . And then it started to fade away I wasn't sure what to do and I woke myself up before I got to a dream... should I have waited? I also have trouble clearing my mind completely, any suggestions for that?

Thanks! :)

VivalaGloria101, You were actually really close! Haha next time don't stop keep going! eventually you'll start hearing things and then start seeing things then soon you'll be in your dream! It's hard not to freak out it is pretty freaky to enter sleep paralysis for some people, there's nothing to be afraid of though! Yes you definitely should have waited and what i use to keep your mind clear is to focus on your breathing, It really works! thats what i use to keep a clear mind. Happy Lucid Dreaming

Yea some techniques work more on someone then another person, if that makes any sense. I've never gotten sleep paralysis :? but the WILD technique still works for me! But sleep paralysis is suppose to happen it's nothing to fear either. Thanks, Lost is my favorite show and Locke is my favorite character haha. Also how is everyone else doing on Lucid Dreaming? Any questions just ask! Happy Lucid Dreaming!

I have enjoyed reading this post a lot! I have had lucid dreams since I was a kid when I didn't know that they were unique. I read somewhere that rubbing your hands together does help, as you mentioned in an earlier post, and I tried it and it did help keep the dream going. I just have a quick question. I have heard that sleeping positions can have an influence on your dreams, more specifically if you sleep on your back, your chances of having a nightmare are greater, and I just wanted to hear your opinion on the subject concerning lucid dreaming. Is there a position that would increase the chances of having one? Or do you think it matters at all? Thanks!!!

Hey Cobb! I'm here to spam your guide again!

Now, during the past four nights I've had two lucid dreams :yo: The first one was right after I watched Inception (I know it's probably related to your username, but I thought it was the worst movie ever) but it did remind me to do a reality check in my dream, and I found it extremely important to spend that dream running around and screaming to everyone that I was asleep. :D And then another one last night, when I found it very odd that my neighbor could speak Czech, and realized that I was dreaming as well (but then I woke up :P)

But of course, my recent failures with WILD have made me determined to succeed. *super stubbornness* I woke up at 4:30AM, took me forever to keep my thoughts from wandering, and when I finally hit SP... I'm stuck... Then I start thinking again and refuse to start over after how long it took me. Is it better to stay as relaxed like when you are trying to go into SP? Probably... because my mind is usually doing summersaults. And just when I think I'm getting somewhere, my alarm clock RINGS! :banghead: And I think "I just spent maybe an hour and a half, to 2 hours, trying to WILD... I better be getting some rest while even though I'm conscious." :dreams: I've also figured out that if I visualize clearing my head, I relax much faster, now what should I do when I enter sleep paralysis?

Thanks a lot! You're awesome.

oohlightning9835 I have also heard that sleeping in a certain position can increase the chances of a lucid dream but I have never tried it so I cannot tell you if it works or not sorry. But if you want me to I can take a look for you and see what I come up with just ask! Happy Lucid Dreaming!

VivalaGloria101 Hey, glad to see you back! Haha it actually isn't but I did really like that movie haha. Your right! what you want to do when you hit sleep paralysis just relax and try not to let your mind wander too much other wise you'll eventually just fall back asleep  . Also something else I do besides setting up just one alarm I set up 2-3 alarms through out the night, this increases the amount of dreams I get in one night and I find I get more Lucid Dreams too! Greetings Cob remember me?

Since the last time we spoke my skills are improving. I still have problems with my insomnia but now school started I'm sleeping much better. I'm currently working on dream control. I've recently been trying to fly but all I can manage is hover in the air with little airodynamicness. Any thoughts?

Also to everyone, check out the new Lucid Journey post. If you want. I guess it's not that exiting.

I remember lucid dreaming as a child....about 5 or 6 years old....I used it as a means to reverse my nightmares....I still do it regularly....all I do is tell myself I am dreaming and I can do anything in my dreams...most recently I fought off some vampires while flying in the air...shooting magic out of my fingertips into their eyes....it's pretty wild...I hope all can one day get there.

hey litlep, Long time no see! Hopefully your skills keep improving! Agh flying, yea a lot of people have problems with flying. Try flapping your hands and flying, it sounds weird but try it! Also don't focus too much and not too little either! If that doesn't work come back and i'll give you a different technique. Hopefully this helps! Happy Lucid Dreaming!

Postby Nightscape on Wed Feb 15, 2012 5:24 am

Hi, thanks for posting this. After reading your post I created a account here as I've always been very interested in my dreams and what they mean. I was happy to stumble across this website while doing some research. I've always been a pretty vivid dreamer, which is why I wanted to research it further. My question was..... Sometimes when I am dreaming I become aware that it is a dream but everytime I do I wake up. I was wondering if I am close to lucid dreaming when this happens and was wondering if there is anything I might be able to do to remain in my dream state after this happens?

I also seem to wake up rather quickly when I am beginning to have a good dream. But Nightmares or unpleasent dreams seem to last alot longer, to the point where I try and force myself to wake up. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. :)

Hey Nightscape, you are super close! But you have a problem that a lot of people have a problem with too, you have to control your emotions, if you get too excited during a dream you'll wake up it's an easy fix. If you feel like your about to wake up or the dream is unstable spin in circles or you can rub your hands together until it feels stable again, after that don't get too excited. Also you could have a false awakening (when you think your awake but your not) which is also common. Happy Lucid Dreaming!

Hey again, just wanted to report on my progess so far after night one. To my amazement, I had limited sucess in using the MILD technique. I tried to dream about a woman I have been talking to recently who I had a crush on in high school. As she was already on my mind, I found it easy to think of her while I was laying there. It took probably close to a hour to fall asleep this way, but I tried to stay relaxed and kept repeating to myself. I want to lucid dream about her. And to my amazement the next thing I knew is that I was reading a note that she had written to me. I quickly became aware of it and said to myself "Wow it worked I'm dreaming about her" At which point I woke up of course, . It was very short and I only got through a few sentences before I realized what was happening and then things quickly began to fade. I tried to remember to try to remember what you told me to do pull myself back into the dream state, but it was already gone. I was shocked though that it actually worked so quickly as I read on here that that is not common.

Well just wanted to let you know how it went, we'll see what tonight brings I guess. Perhaps if I can keep picking up on the fact that I am dreaming I will be less shocked when it happens, making it easier to stay relaxed and remain there. Thanks for the advice. Have a good one! :dreams:

Hey Cobb! Thanks so much! I had my first WILD lucid dream and it was my longest one too! (usually they last a while thirty seconds, not even) This is the first time I've had time to try it again for a while, because I'm usually too tired to do anything and have to wake up early. Here's my journal for last night: :yo:

For the longest time I'm trying to WILD... I finally clear my mind enough and then all of a sudden there's the incredible buzzing and it's almost so bad that I'm shaking, then in my mind I see an old movie type countdown, except its counting up. I feel like I'm loosing it so I quickly envision myself climbing through a window into the dream and then just falling into it really fast, like I just climbed out of the window of a train. When I open my eyes everything's dark and I'm very disappointed. I hear someone taking the dog out and think that it's too early in the morning to try again. Then I feel around and find out that the light switches are being stupid and not working. Finally, I practically will one to work (which I really did) and there're some papers on my desk. I have trouble adjusting my eyes to the dark because the light keeps going out but I finally realize that the text is changing and that I'm dreaming! Like always, I feel the dream slipping away so I jump out of bed and start spinning, until I stay in the dream. My mom's in one room, sleeping, and she mumbles to me to do whatever I want, I walk around the house having the hardest time with the light switches! I finally get the kitchen to get brighter, and it's a little different then usual, with the dining room table covered in drawings and paintings that I've done. I then walk into the guest room and put all of my willpower into turning on a switch. Of course that one turned on the fan, so I turn on every single switch in the room and there are a dozen scattered all around the wall until I get it reasonably lit and I collapse on the bed. Then when I finally try to summon anything other than the electricity in a light bulb, I find myself lying in my own bed at 7:14, which is probably why dream ended so suddenly because I set my alarm to 5:00AM and I usually wake up around now.

Everything felt a little detached though, but the absolute most frustrating part was the light switches. Any suggestions for that?

Either way, thank you very much!

wh- ak! I thought flying was easy. That's why I started off with flying. Ok what do you recommend as a start.

Another thing, is there something else I need to do for MILD? Everytime I say I'm going to have a lucid dream it never works. Quite the oppisite in fact. Same goes with dream journals. I never bothered with them because apart from the fact I always forget to write them down or I forget my dream just before I write them but when I start one I stop dreaming altogether. Then I disregard the journal I go back to dreaming again. It's uncanny.

Another-nother thing, I've noticed that in order for WILD to work you need to get up and move around then go back to bed. Is this true or is it just me?

Hey VivalaGloria101, Great job! I'm super happy for you! Sometimes when your frustrated or angered at something in your dream what you want it to do it won't work. So when your emotions are stable try and if that doesn't work use your dream powers and make your hands flaming torches! :D I'm glad I helped you achieve a WILD! And your welcome! Happy Lucid Dreaming!

Hey Litlep, I say you should start of easy and simple like trying transform a object into something completely different and work your way up. The MILD technique isn't one of my favorite techniques, I honestly never use it. Sometimes the technique works for somebody perfectly, others, it doesn't work at all. Try a different method something you feel confident in. You don't NEED to keep a dream journal they're just easy to get every detail like I kept having dreams I was in school and after a couple of times of having the same dream I knew I was dreaming because I remembered it from my other dreams. For me I don't need to get up, sometimes I'm only up for a few seconds and fall back asleep and have a WILD, never getting up. I'm not going to say it's just you because I bet other people have that same thing happen to them. Hope this helped! Happy Lucid Dreaming!

I've been practicing off and on for a while, but lately it's becoming frustrating. I am getting to the stage where I hit realization in my dreams that I am dreaming, such as I notice that something in the dream state is impossible in the real world, and as soon as I have that realzation I wake up. I don't get over-excited, the dream just seems to stop the second I figure out that I am in a dream.

Last night I think I got close...or had a very, very short experience. I have been stressed lately, not feeling well..etc... Well last night after I had only slept for a few hours I woke up thanks to my allergies going bananas. I was up for almost 3 hours before I was able to return to sleep, and I listened to binaural tones meant for lucid dreamers while I was nodding off. Now, there is a character that I have had with me since childhood that I still have with me to this day, he is a true source of comfort for me. Last night as I was nodding off for the second time I keep saying to myself; "When I get to sleep I will know it's a dream, and then you and I *have* to find one another. I don't care how long it takes...we have to find one another!"

I doubt I was asleep for more than a few minutes at the most when I am in an unfamilliar room, I feel dazed and start looking around, then I see that character from across the room, looking around as though he, too, is searching for someone, and then we spot one another, we run to each other and embrace. He says something that I cannot recall, and then I wake back up, just as my binaural tones were finishing.

The tone set that I use is only 30 minutes, it took me over half of it to get to sleep, that experience was only a minute if it was that. I'm just wondering how to keep going for longer and how to keep myself asleep once I realize what is going on.

Hey Imperial_Dreamer, Wow you seem to be having a really hard time :( sorry to hear that. The ways I know of stabling a dream is to A rub your hands together B Start spinning C control your emotions or D rub your hand on a surface and feel the texture of it. If that does't help come back and i'll try to give you more tips! Hope this helped! Happy Lucid Dreaming!

Re: How to Lucid Dream (Guide) and what they are

Postby pollito123123 on Wed Feb 22, 2012 1:55 am

Two nights ago I had two lucid dreams. One was me seeing two girls and putting my arm around them I new I was dreaming but I didn't notice that we started to fly. I saw on of the girls turn into a guy. I tried to change him back to a girl and he asked me why I wanted to change him. The other was me in a pool. I was walking and saw a guy and two girls playing in the pool. I thought to myself they look like kids. Then a bunch of little kids started appearing out of no where. I ran around and the kids were everywhere. Why couldn't I control the dream? I knew I was dreaming and tried to change things but I couldn't. Any advice?

Also there is a girl that appears in most of my dreams. Lucid or not I always see her. I've never seen her face though. When I'm lucid and see her I want to talk to her. When I get close enough to touch her I freeze up and can't move. I never think about yelling out at her but I don't know why. How do I keep myself from freezing up?

I'm new at lucid dream, I have it every other day. I keep a journal and I when I want to lucid dream I think about the dream I want to be lucid in. I think about the people I saw and how I felt. I can never go into the dream I want though. It happens random and it's usually a dream I never had.

When I started lucid dreaming I just walked around. Now the only thing that I could do is fly, move super fast, and shoot beams from my hands. When I shoot beams from my hands I can't shoot far, and my hands start getting really hot. I sometimes I can fly high but other times I can only lift a couple feet. When I move fast I always make a noise with my mouth. Is any of that normal or am I just weird?

Hi. Haven't posted in a while, since I haven't had many chances to try again. Haven't been sleeping that good lately. I've had quite a few very vivid dreams, but nothing lucid. I had a question though that maybe you could help me with. I have a hard time falling asleep when I don't have my tv on. My mind has a hard time turning off. Anyways, I was wondering if you had any other techniques for staying lucid, I tried rubbing my hands together and spinning, but I never have a real good sense of myself when I dreaming. Like I can't see myself, I try to look at my hands and I can't see them, it's like I'm not there. Was just wondering if you had anything else I might try? Hope you've been well. Take care.

hey pollito123123, Don't worry your not weird I used to have the same problem! What you need to do is just relax and try again, don't get frustrated or over worked about it just keep trying that is your best bet. Also keep practicing at what your trying to do. You seem to be really good at becoming lucid, so say your trying to create a building just keep trying every time your lucid and then you'll become a pro! Also if you want to change the dream scene then just start spinning really really fast and it should completely change the scene! If you want to talk to the girl call out at her! Yell at her! Or even try pausing the whole dream and walk up to her! Try not to get your emotions all crazy when you see the girl otherwise, the dream will just end.If that doesn't work than please tell me I'll try to give you another suggestion! Happy Lucid Dreaming!

Hey Nightscape! I've been fantastic thanks for asking! I do have a few more tricks up my sleeve, First, focus hard on your Dream, take control of it! Second is to just wake up! When you wake up don't move though otherwise you won't have as much chance to get back into the dream. Thats how I sometimes get Lucid Dreams, I wake up and fall right back asleep and then I'm in a dream, lucid! Sounds weird but it just might work! How are you doing? Also mood changes the way you dream so I hope your doing well! Happy Lucid Dreaming!

P.S. If more people ask me about how to stay in a Lucid Dream I'll just post it in the original post. Thanks everyone! Happy Lucid Dreaming!

I just had I dream and in the middle of it I realized I was dreaming. I tried flying but couldn't at first, I jumped a couple times and finally did it. I got only a few feet off the ground, I landed and tried again I flew even higher. I thought about going into space but I didn't want to push myself because I thought I would wake up. I tried shooting beams from my hands but I couldn't. I tried really hard but I couldn't do it this time. I felt myself waking up and I rubbed my hands together and I stayed in the dream. When I did rub my hands I felt goosebumps all over my body. Is this normal? Then I saw a house, I think it was the one I was in, before I new I was dreaming. I thought about going back in but I felt myself wake up again. I rubbed my hands together and again I felt goosebumps. This time the trick didn't work and I woke up. Why didn't it work a second time? I was calm most of the time, not being able to shoot beams bummed me out, but That didn't wake me up. I just stopped trying because I didn't want to wake up.
This has nothing to do with my dream but I was just wondering. Does everyone have a dream guide? I don't think I ever seen mine. Another question, why do some of the people I talk to, when I'm lucid, sometimes say strange things. Like one time I was talking to a little boy. It was when I first started to lucid dream. I asked him if it was a dream and he said he couldn't tell me. He said he would get into trouble with the beast boy. Then he said the beast boy wanted to kill me. I got freaked out I woke up with my heart pounding.

P.S. Thanks for helping out. I think I will be a lot better at lucid dreaming with your help. :D
