For me the best ability I have is knowing/feeling when my dreams are going to take a turn for the worst and I simply choose another path.

Some things I've always been able to do like breathe under water. It honestly surprised me to see on here that it's considered an ability since I've always been able to do it. :o

I can breathe fire and ice although ice is more common for me.
I can control water but unfortunately like a lot of you guys, the more you try and force something, the quicker you wake. So it's only limited and dependent on the dream.
The same can be said with freezing things I touch and flying.
The only way I can go through walls is if I completely calm my mind so I can just fall through. This can be incredibly difficult if you're being chased.
Like a lot of you, I can reverse my dreams if I don't really like the outcome of something.

I've always been a vivid dreamer and the only way to tell if it's lucid is whether I've thought/said "it's a dream".

This may be a tip for some of you... If you're struggling to do something in your dream, try take a moment and calm yourself. Clear your mind and tell yourself it's just a dream and then try again. This works incredibly well for those who can't fly fly.

While dreaming, your brain is doing a balancing act. The more worked up you get or the harder you try to force something means the quicker you end up awake.
When you're aware of your own dream you've immediately brought some of your consciousness into it. I find the more aware you are the harder it is to do things like fly because your conscious knows that's not something you should be able to do. It starts trying to apply real world logic, and I think that's what makes some things just that more difficult to do. So take a breather if things aren't working the way you want and calmly try again.

I can pause my dreams when it gets to scary , I think I learned it from playing video games. And I can fly but I descend a lot while doing it .i think that's about it.

Last night was the first I experienced it. It's kinda amazing but I think it's unhealthy. I mean for me cos I think it cost too much energy. Well, I felt exhausted after I decided to open my eyes after that and my head aches. Or was it just normal?

Anyways, my dream is only about letting myself fall and fly while others are so worried that I might fall. It's as if you were naturally became a character with a superpower. It was cool, just controlling is a little bit tiring though.

I was able to do it only a handful of times, but I was able to take bullets as if it were nothing and once I summoned super-human strength and was able to extract a light pole from the ground and throw it at a bunch of zombies

Lucid dreaming is life, =D

My basic abilities aren't limited to--but include: flight, super speed, super strength, invisibility, invincibility, shape-shifting.

The less common abilities I can wield are: chaos magic and planes-walking <<< Awesome Stuff, trust me.

I fly! :rarara: It's a lot of fun, and I can usually actually fee the wind blowing past me, and I see beautiful scenery in a lot of the dreams. I know I'm dreaming but the dream is very vivid. I always remember the dreams clearly when I wake up. Sometimes I can even fly through walls and windows. This is a recent development just in the past few years. :)

Legit nothing cool. Just flying, fast movement, playing musical instruments without messing up, playing video games, and thats it. And roasting the heck out of people :dj:

I have very limited lucid experience so my stability sucks. One time I tripped on magic mushrooms in a lucid dream and another time I punched some mexicans. I had other lucid dreams but I woke up almost right away.

I can run super-fast, and if i try really really hard i can "summon my internal emotion" and use it to hover a few inches off of the ground.

~i have a question, too. Um... around the end of my dreams, things start falling apart?!

For example:

I once had a dream that i was a half-Meowth-half-Human superhero (Meowth is a pokemon) (lol), and i could launch flames from my palms, and i could jump really high.
Anyways- as i was battling a half-Dragon-half-human guy, the coin fell off of my head, and my tail vanished. Then, my paws turned to human hands, and my legs turned to cat legs, and my meowth outfit fell apart, so i was just wearing the grey shirt under it, and my blue pants. After a few seconds, i lost my powers, too. The rest of that dream was boring lol.

So far in lucid dreams I can:
- re-dream a dream if the outcome is not going the way I would like to change it to a more positive outcome
- fly
- summon a thunderstorm
- summon specific people to ask them a question

They haven't happened too often, but I'm hoping this is something I can develop more.

My one and only experience with what I believe to be a lucid dream is...I was in my childhood basement at the foot of the stairs I was always afraid of in the dark, but it was daytime and I was not afraid. There were people outside the basement door that I did not know until I was an adult and in my dream, I realized this did not make sense. At that point, I realized I was dreaming. It did not take me long to test it...the first thing I thought of was could I really feel sensation in a dream. I got down on my knees touched the couch I remembered as a child that was part kind of a satin and part kind of a swade (something I could never forget the feel of). Guess what, it felt EXACTLY as I remember. At that point, I laid my head down on the couch and started sobbing...then my alarm clock went off.

Was this a lucid dream? If so, how do I tap into this? As a child, I had nightmares and as a result learned to wake myself up out of a nightmare by telling myself it was just a dream, is this similar to that even though it was not a nighmare, just recognizing unconscious awareness?

Why do you care what to call it? You had a good experience. Integrated and felt real for a change.

I just started lucid dreaming about a year ago. It was after I started to think about and remember old dreams. That night I had a dream and felt that something was off. Thats when I realized I was in a dream. So just for the fun of it I tried to fly. I jumped off the ground and kinda kicked my legs to get going. Then when I started to fly I could only fly for a short distance before falling back to the ground. As the dream prolonged I got better at it. Since then I have a lucid dream around once a month. Since my first lucid dream Ive been able to fly longer, walk and slide across water as if it was froze, i'm stronger, faster, and I'm a badass. I hope to have a lot more lucid dreams in the future. I like to see what else I can learn to do. i always feel amazing after waking up from lucid dreams. It feels very real to me. I find that its best to realize that something is really off in a dream and as soon as I do. Its instant lucid dreaming for me.

Haha Lucid dreams,

To be honest I've them frequent, but when I make mistakes in my actions the dream will end mostly, but I'm fine with that, because it's mostly a few minutes before my alarm-clock then. My abilities are:

1. Monkeyshine and Catwrecks: Running from the police, smoking weed at the office, hiding from the camera's or throwing a blanket on the rail track so the train derailed and stuf.
2. Flying
3. Fishing (really often in combination with flying so I can switch the good spots quickly)
4. Shooting and that's fun because I've never used a real gun in life.
5. Running, rolling and jumping which can be very handy after monkeyshine and catwrecks
6. Staying longer during scary dreams. I'm not having nightmares really often, but when scary things show op I can fight against it more often.
