Help interpret?

Postby Cmdh » Fri Sep 14, 2018 11:17 pm

Tonight I had an extremely displeasing and anxiety ridden dream, it started normal and nice but I had this overwhelming feeling that something was wrong. As my dream shifted from "pleasant" to fearful I remember telling myself that I had to be dreaming and usually when that happens I wake up, I didn't. So I was convinced it was real, I was running but it felt like I was actually running not that slow, weak feeling run I normally have in dreams. I then "awoke" clinging to my husband and sobbing and he told me that my dream was real and that it had all happened but I couldn't remember most of what happened after the initial dream. My dream progressed to other people in my family saying that it was real and they were just glad I was okay but I still felt uneasy and confused and scared. That is when I woke up to reality in the middle of a panic attack. Does anyone have any idea what I experienced and why? Just thinking about it makes me feel uneasy because it still feels real and I remember every detail several hours later. I have only become lucid in one dream before and I woke up as soon as I had realized I was dreaming. This is also my first ever dream within a dream.

I have always had lucid dreams ever since I was a child - The one thing I always remember and what works for me, If I pinch myself and I dont feel it I am always in a dream. When I get to spots that are scary and have me anxiety ridden, I pinch myself, and that is how I remind myself I am dreaming and I can continue the LUCID dream. When I have had enough , I always Shout , Wake Up , Wake up - so far that has not failed me yet.
I have a constant lucid ending to dreams, it involves waking up within a dream and it has happened many times. If a regular dream goes bad or gets intense, I always seem to wakeup (inside my dream) in my childhood home. It feels real dark and dingy and almost dilapidated. but I get out of bed and go to the bathroom , I always look into my parents room (as it was next to the bathroom) and I always see death and decomposing material on the floor. I start to brush my teeth and I can feel the evil around me , and always when I walk down stairs the demon appears. the first time this dream scared the crap out of me. but when it always starts , I always pinch myself before I get out of bed to remind me I am dreaming ( it removes a lot of the anxiety) then I continue the dream to see if it goes anywhere else, It never does. When the demon apearrs, I yell at him this is a dream and I need to Wake up , Wake up, sometimes it is immediate, sometimes I have to say it a few times. but it has not failed me yet.

I know it is not much of an interpretation, but I just wanted to share my experience of getting through them without loosing your mind :)
