Aggresive DOG

Postby significantdreams on Mon Aug 27, 2012 10:10 pm

I dreamt that I was walking in the street during an evening with an acquintence when we see a huge dog coming towards us from the corner of the street. There is mayhem whilst the dog is barking and snarling. My acquaintence is on the far side and hence bolts the scene leaving me behind. My first thoughts are to bolt the scene too but I also realise that I don't have much time. Which is why I decide to stay my position and wait. The dog that comes up to me is so large that I can feel it sniffing my shoulder and right arm. My fears are being calmed down by another voice inside me that says 'this is the only choice you have now'. Soon the dog is calm and starts to lick me and also snuggle up against me. In dream land all of this seems to have happened in seconds. Once the situation has calmed down I say to the dog 'I need to go now as my kids are waiting for me at home'

And I am awake!

..from the dream dictionary here.....
. If the dog is vicious and/or growling, then it indicates some inner conflict within yourself. It may also indicate betrayal and untrustworthiness.

It seems you know there is a situation that is not good, yet you don't make a move to change it, therefore you are stuck until the time is right to do something about it.

Personally, I don't care about the dream dictionary crap, it's too generic and is very wrong at times.

Put it this way, the way I see the dog, is that it's big, scary, and you're frightened of it. However, your fear ends up showing you that should not fear the dog, but rather befriend it. The dog could possibly relate to you. Think about it, you are your own worst enemy. Thus, the dog could be an interpretation of your self-image.

However, the dog seems to be your friend, but the person you were walking with is CLEARLY not your friend. Honestly, in my opinion, next time, send the dog after your friend. I am pretty sure you will wake up feeling satisfied and a little proud lol
