what are dreams telling to tell us?

When I dream of something.... what contxt is it ?


is it telling what the current state of things are?

is it telling me what should be happening?

or is it telling what shouldn't be happening ?

Eg. I dreamed of myself showering naked in an open shower stall in a public mall with men watching me. I tried to close the door but kept failing.

If it is saying the current state of things, then it is telling me that men are watching me and i'm trying to cover up but not doing so successfully.

if it is telling me what is should be doing, then is it telling me that i should be more daring and stop trying to cover myself up.
Or it is telling me that I should try harder to cover myself up and stop trying to expose myself?

of cos, i am not sure if the dream is talking about covering my physical body or how i reveal myself as a person to the world.

I can't tell you what your dream means, because they are all unique to the person. I don't know what you experience on a day to day basis. You are your best judge for your dreams. I used to keep a a daily journal. At the end of the day I would write down what happened, all the little mundane details. In the morning I would write down my dreams. There was a correlation between my wake time and dream time. I was able to look back at the past day and see how my dream related to it. Eventually I didn't need to keep a journal because I could tell what my dreams meant to me.
