Help with lucid dreaming turning into nightmares?

Hey. I've been having a lot of lucid dreams lately. A lot of those lucid dreams turn into nightmares and sometimes I can't wake myself up, but other times I wake up screaming. I want advice on how to control my nightmares and wake myself up.

I don't have any personal experience with this, but I've read some things about it. I think one way to stop the nightmares is to confront the creatures scaring you and asking th
em what they represent. It is supposed to help you in waking life also by letting you know what your fears are and how to handle them.

You are experience the presence of inner demons who have come to haunt you as you are in a vulnerable state in the dream world. You have the ability to lucid dream and to do other brilliant things awake, I'm sure of it, but you are having difficulty quelling certain things inside of you. This could be anything, easier defined by the nightmarish imagery you come across. You have to realize that pain in your dream in only fear. There is no real pain. Try remembering to meditate next time this happens in your dream. In your place of sleep, keep a close reminder at hand. Good luck and dream on.
