What does romantic mean to you? I've noticed that a lot of responses here also include "romantic" among other things. Buying you flowers every day? Singing under the stars? Swimming under the moon? Writing poetry to you? I'm genuinely interested because, even though many of you specified romantic, most girls here are totally not into that.

I consider myself a hopeless romantic in the true sense of the word. I like to sing guitar songs to my loved one. I write her poems that come along with flowers. I like kissing in the rain and sleeping under the nightsky. I'm not the usual cityclub-guy. My gf loves me the way i am, but i still wonder. Almost no girl loves romance anymore. Not the way I see romance anyway.

You see women all over flirting and being sexual with other men not their own husbands, partners, they step over the lines of the relationship, they feel maybe because they don't have a great relationship they get some free pass, and it isn't cheating, but it still is. Then if you include, dirty private messages, sex stories, sexting, sending pictures, and videos. All outside of the bonded relationship, says I don't love or want my current partner, so why not leave that partner before you stray and cheat? Why drag another party into your plans and horrible relationship lie, be a free agent and not a cheater?

Well I think there are 2 basic things that girls like:
1.Confidence
2.Sense of humor

But that stuff looks good on everyone so it's kinda cliche in my opinion. I think the main things girls (maybe everyone) like they never talk about because they either don't know it or won't admit it. So here we go.

1.Girls like to be chased - They love that stuff. I don't care if she's the most outgoing person ever or quieter than a library on a Saturday. Girls love it when you show interest in them. BUT - and this is a big BUT - keep it short and sweet. A little flirting every now and then is good but don't go overboard with someone. Because whether they are male or female when you do this too much that person may end up taking you for granted and actually start ignoring you because they think they have you too easy. And it makes sense. I mean all she had to do was look pretty and now you're all over her. What's up with that? So maybe you like her but she's going to have to show the same if this is going to work out. Which leads to #2...

2.Girls like to chase - That's right they like that too. After you do your chasing it's her turn now. You show some interest in her and now it's time to see if she likes you. This is not a one way street like a lot of guys make it out to be. Too many guys go after the girl trying to impress her as if she is "da shizz." Nope. Have fun and chase each other. This way both sides are showing interest and it doesn't get all needy. If she doesn't like you like that then you know it's time to either gain a friend or move on. The worst thing you can do is go after someone that doesn't even like you. What a waste of time...
