Kinda hard to be "eternally" happy for a single year, but I get what you mean. I'd take the uncontrollable sadness for a year. Although being permanently happy could lead to some odd situations too, like at funerals. "Hey, quit grinning."

Also, although suicide sends you straight to hell, there's a loophole regarding reckless self-endangerment, so I wouldn't be a very long-lived prostitute. "No, St. Peter, I didn't kill myself. I just wanted to see how close I could get my face to the side of that moving train."
