Portraits A'Plenty

I've been drawing, again, lately. I kinda need it, these days. I got a new Photoshop program, but I think the installation disc is bugged. Annoying as it is, I know I wouldn't have made my transition back to paper and pencil if it hadn't happened, so I'm grateful. Here are some of my pieces. Sorry. They're big.

Very nice artwork, you are talented. The details are fantastic too. I like your 1st and last the most.

Thank you. I was using a very knock-off brand of notepad, so I had to really grind the colors in. Fortunately, one of my friends introduced me to another brand and things have been going much smoother. I also bought some charcoals and fixative, so I'm hoping to post another one, soon.

Damn, that looks very impressive and beautiful. Very talented. You made me pick up my pencil and start drawing again. :D

I just finished this one a few minutes ago. He's a favorite villain from one of my favorite shows.

Well, I just figured out that work paper and pencils don't work all too well.

How long do each take you to finish and are you particular when it comes to the details, do you remove, re do a lot on your drawings? Your latest is great too, I like the mystery b&w drawings have.

Nice drawing too, Sauron.

Thank you. The time it takes to finish a drawing pretty much depends on my sense of drive, at the time. I did the charcoal in two weekends: I did the lining on Sunday and I did the actual charcoal work on Friday. For colored pencil sketches, that takes about three to four days. That might be different, now that I have new paper. I think, for details, I mostly add on to give a sense of depth.
